Rotary tune near Minnesota
What shops here can tune a Haltech or Mircotech (even do the install) in or near Minnesota?
I have a S4 TII motor heading into my SE and I'm going with an EMS right away and would like a shop to take care of the install and tune, it seems that it would WAY over my head.
Thanks for any input!
Chris

There's Sprague's Speed Tuning in Hopkins, i know they do carbs but i'm not positive if they do EFI. It's worth a call though, (952) 938-0895 1928 2nd Street South, Hopkins, MN 55305

S&S only knows how to retro fuel injection to carb'd systems from my experience with them. They send most of their F.I. work to Huttner Enterprises.
Huttner Enterprises in Dayton, MN 763-427-9821, ask for owner Tim. They are Electromotive specialists/dealers but can work with any system. I've worked with them for the past 5+ years and they can do anything you want.

Tim Huttner wasnt that great, i got my injectors cleaned there. it felt like he was trying to get over on me because i was a kid for some reason. he told me i need a new custom exhaust......i have a full rb exhaust . no doubt he does qaulity work, it is over priced and he is sheisty imo though.

Good luck with that. There is U-Pull http://www.upullrparts.com/ in Rosemount, but the 7's there are few and far between. Plus Adam B. lives there and has all the good stuff before the forklift even drops the car.
I have various FC parts cars at my parents place up north. Let me know if you need anything and I can run through the barn when I head up next for xmas.

Turbo 3 I did see your car from start to finish and constructed your fuel system while I worked at S&S.

If there's anything in particular, I live in the area and have a bunch of stuff to get rid of. PM me with what you want.

Were you asking about getting exhaust work done or did he flat out tell you to get a new exhaust without you bringing it up first?
It's really easy to make slanderous statements on the internet that affects somebody's business when there are no consequences to yourself, isn't it? If you didn't care for your experience that's certainly your perogitive, making up BS about stuff that didn't even happen to you is illegal BTW.
No, I'm not employed by the shop and I'm just offering it as a place that can do EMS work. You can go there or not, doesn't affect me one way or another. My suggestion is to shop around and get first-hand references from actual clients who've had custom work done, not window shoppers.

why would i be making up bs about him, i could care less if you believe me. i am just saying i was not hugely impressed and didnt like how he told me everything on my car needed work, when it is fine. i dont like to be jerked around and told i need this and that. he cleaned the injectors fine, i dont remember the price because it was a year and a half ago. i just remember it going up because he had to put new spark plugs in after he cleaned the injectors. i just told him i was going to do it myself i didnt want to pay 30 bucks for that or however much it was. then he just kind of makes fun of me saying what are you gonna do? put them in in the parking lot? i mean it takes 5 minutes to do, i would be more than happy to do that myself.
you dont have to agree with me or believe me, i was just giving my opinion on his shop. i just dont like how he acted my seven was not a nice car, it is one of the cleanest na's i have seen here. i was sort of offended too when he clowned me for wanted to put my spark plugs in myself. i mean i was 16 at the time paying $200-300(i forget) it was alot of money to me back then and i was trying to save a little bit. i would think he would understand that. i did not know about the extra cost, if he would have told me before i got there it would have been different.

DB Performance has a very nice inertia dyno. I was just on it in Oct. I do not know if they have rotary experience.

Correct...well almost, Kerry.
Only for the turbo oil inlet. The outlet is a solid SS piece.
I thought there is another thread for Steve Kan coming up in April for another round of tuning as well? Ken is working with coordinating that again like this fall. The only issue with that is you want to make sure your car is in good working order before spending the time/money to have him tune it so he can focus on tuning, not troubleshooting or trying to repair while your on the dyno.

Maybe April too soon, we'll see if we have enough and Kan has a new tuning price schedule.
