Haha I'm switching to a built 2.0 cody lol. I've read to many horror stories with the hybrids and I think I would be better off building up a 2.0. It sucks though cause my 2.5 sb is all ready to go. Oh well. I just picked up another ej205 tonight going to bore it a little over and put new pistons in.

Still porting the heads and going with better cams. I'm just not to sure on what pistons to use yet. CP's are very nice but pretty expensive, wiseco's are also nice, maybe some manley's. Ugh to many choices.

Eric - before you start giving me more **** please know that once I get some cash flow happening your parts will be done, although the front bumper will be done last. I understand that the front bumper is the highest on your list. Its also the part that needs the most work. I honestly doubt I will spray the hood - its just too rough.

first of all im not taking any sides here.. but i say axe those posts, any newcomers to the ia thread may be put off by all this- and obviously no one is going to "win" this argument any more.

lol i don't know how i managed to actually find your post in regard to my parts with all the smack talking going on here...

Whatever u can do man, maybe i should just buy another hood and scrap the two alum ones i have now huh?
but if u need anything else form me to get it going please let me know.

Yeah Blade I'm going to be listing it for sale here within the next couple days. It's a ej255 block with 17k had a bad ringland on one piston replaced pistons with B code ej257 pistons. Everything on it looks brand new including the cylinder walls.

It still has all the pulleys, water pump, oil pump, I'll include the oil pan and pick up tube. Umm I haven't set a price yet I'm not going to take offers I just want to research what they are going for right now and make sure someone gets a good price on it.

What do you want it for?

its in desperate need of...*****. haha, its a 2.5RS, and it has a hard time pulling itself up the hills of dubuque with 134k on it.

Yes it came in 06 and up wrx's the only difference is the pistons. Which I actually switched to brand new 257 pistons. Are you interested in trying a hybrid setup? Or do you want the full STI swap?

Built 2.0 would work just as well as the 2.5 I'd like to think anyways. I've heard Wiseco pistons are supposed to be pretty good, but yea, there's a ton of choices as far as pistons go. I think the most important part is getting the proper style and making sure you have the compression ratio you want. Maybe just some flat tops with decent valve reliefs? Or are you going with something with a dish for a little lower compression?

I myself am kicking around ideas on the engine I'm going to build. No serious work yet, just need to get a general idea where to start looking.

I'd like to go with something forged that's pretty close to stock, I would like to have some version 8 pistons or a version 8 short block they have all forged internals unlike any of the usdm motors

I personally like the subaru platform there is a lot of interchangeability with the parts so there is tons of different options to go with. The aftermarket for them is not as high as some other cars out there so that's always good.

Want to know why i didn't post specs? Cause non of you have the money to buy it, seriously if you want to pay 900 for this car, imagine what you want that 3k turbo for.
It was posted as a joke, just to show how big it was. its staying with me for a 20b build.
/sigh

I asked about the size because it looked small to me based off the compressor and was curoius.

-a general rule of thumb is to treat people with respect and you will in turn receive respect.

Most times if you keep your cool the other party ends up looking like an ***.

That goes for everyone on the forum.

I personally dont want to see any more **** for sale in the Iowa threads.

I think you should enforce that Ian...

We have a Midwest forsale and the larger one to do this price haggling in.

Better than ever.

Retuned it and got better low end, better fuel economy, and drivability increased.

The stagging and idle is really great for 850cc primaries. Rock solid 750rpm idle.

I'll put her down once it starts freezing and replace the tranny with a USDM one.

Prolly work a bit on interior and more than likely pull the motor to redo a few things (AC in particular).

Might actually get around to installing that water injection........
