I don't know what you mean by cpu. rx-7's don't run an operating system.

edit: nm, apparently you know.

edit #2: actually, does anyone know if the ecu uses unix or some ****?

The only time i had to mess with the CPU was the cold solder points. The idiot cluster flashes or doesn't light up some of hte lights. You just have to resolder the connections.

I was troubleshooting a problem and was needing to unplug the CPU to see if the problem went away. I figured out what my problem was and was not related to the CPU. The plug that hooks into the ignition key light was not plugged into the light but rather into a different plug making the main relay kick on every time the battery was hooked up. It also made it to where the engine would stay running with the key off. Blade has this same problem. Hes supposed to call in a bit and let me know if his problem's cause was the same as mine.

Its pretty easy man. Just buy the wiring adapter and the install kit and crimp connect the wires together like they are supposed to and plug it in and away you go.

Steve, you can go to Best Buy and ask for what they call a reverse harness and what that does is it attaches to stock wiring and gives you the stock plug again so then you can use the aftermarket plug still.
