Guys, why be obsessed with letting this club die? We should be more concerned with finding out what the rotary owners of chicagoland want out of their club so that they will be more interested in participating in events. We should be identifying what kinds of events they want. Me personally, I'd like to just have a meet where I could at least get to meet and know everybody. So far I've only met Bill, and that's only on a financial level (he provided me with the means to aquire a TII trans for my GXL). If we just found a date that everyone could agree on and give ample time to allow for scheduling, then I think that people would be more inclined to participate being that they now can associate names and faces to a currently faceless club (at least from their standpoint), and give them a potential motivation to go to more events and meets, just to hang out with a great group of people and have a good time. I don't know why people are so content in letting this club die. Hell, I have a few 7 owners as neighbors and they'd probably jump at an opportunity to meet us all (2 of the 3 at least have owned them since new, and the cars are immaculate. all FC's, too!), but why and when should I even mention the existance of a club when people want it gone so bad...

i dunno why people complain about our younger crowd and us not being involved. when i was 17 i had my fc and was at just about every meet now that im 18 and am soon getting my fd(this week ) i am still going to try and be just as involved. for example i have been car less for the last four months and still have managed to attend every single jgtca meet. so its not the young crowd that is the problem its the lack of events to attend.

So suggesting a meet like...every 3rd saturday a month somewhere or something? I guess if its planned out on a pre-set schedule that wont change, people would know ahead of time to plan. Dunno what to say about the last track event, but I do know once I get a 7 I'd love to have the club still going so I can attend with a 7.

There is a Fbody event at Road America in October. From what I understand Damian with the killer bee will be there as well as me. It would be nice to have some Chicagoland rotards there with us.

Ok so back on topic, what if we do something like in the WI thread? They have a meeting every wed at a preset time and place. Could we do something like that so that way there is no surprise meetings that people just so happen to have made plans on that day?
