Went dyno tuning again...

In all the microtech has been performing to the highest of standards. I am disapointed in the car though.

Today the best pull was 282rwhp (SAE) at 10 psi. Last month I got 300.8 at 13 psi. Today I could not raise the bosot higher than 10psi at redline with my boost controler. It was like pressure loss or really bad air today. My worst pull of the day was 265rwhp with the hood of the car closed; time to open up the fender!! A/F ratios were right on target even after a little home brew tuning from last months tuning.

Maybe I should be happy with these pulls after all, my engine has 153k miles on it. The stock clutch has at least 50k miles on it. The dyno tuner said that today was a really bad day to test peak hp for any car. its been really humid and nasty out for the past 10 days (at least 10).

still good numbers nothing to be unhappy with.

did your a/f get smoothed out a bit or were you just doing some power pulls on the dyno?

I basically returned to the dyno because of a few problems which had been resolved. I was going to do some cool power runs but I could not raise my boost past about 10 psi this time around.

I rigged one up to work off the microtech ecu. The controler allows air to pass through to the w/g actuator at a specified pressure programmed in the ecu.

Looks like my clutch has finally let it be known.

It has begun to slip. tonight in 3rd gear from 5k to 7k. really nasty. it only did this once but I suspect this is the reason for the power loss on these pulls.

Seems my car is getting slower every few days. Must be clutch.

I put an act pp with 6 puck unsprung disc in last weekend. The car is only marginally faster. I have still lost boost. Im thinking its the hot muggy weather.

I am able to chirp 3rd on Falken Azenas when they are hot though.

If it's hot and humid, that would definately make you put out less power.
