Official LT-8 Dumb ? Thread (installation)

I don't even have my EMS yet and I have alot of dumb ?'s. Anyone else that has dumb ?'s can also ask them here but,........It has to be dumb

After looking at the wireing diagram on brandon's site...........here---->http://www.br7racing.com/downloads/LT8-FC-Diag.jpg

I want to make sure I got it all right.

#1 A wire goes from #86 on the fuel pump relay to the pink wire on the L coil & then to both TAN wires on the #1 T coil? Is that right? Is that 12v power going to or from the coil?

#2 How does my MSD 6a wire into the L coil now?

#3Where does the GREY wire on the #2 T coil go?

#4 It says the yellow is tach out........out to where, the gauge?

#5 Is fused 12 volts always going to the lt-8 & the injectors, even when the car is off?

#6 On the CAS, Both the white wire & the white w/the black stripe wire go to ground?

I don't have the harness/female plug for the air temp sensor. Does it matter what prong the two wires go to? ( have them backwards) Same for the water temp.......

That's it.........for now.

Calm down.

Installation is cake.

Don't worry about it until you get the thing in your hands. I'll all become clear then.

Hahaha we're mailing them all out on Friday - we've been busy writing checks and fighting with QuickBooks!

That is a very strange wiring diagram. I would've thought the fuel pump would have its own relay, fed from the battery and switched by the ECU, and there'd be another ignition switched relay that feeds 12V to the injectors are coils. This is how the factory does it, and how other aftermarket systems seem to be done also.

Yep, there's a wire in the factory loom that runs from the trailing coil to the tacho.

They're just thermistors, so it doesn't matter.

That is how it's done. The wiring diagram doesn't exactly match the ends of the wiring harness; it doesn't show the branches within it.

That's why I said to not worry about it until then - it's pretty intuitive once you're holding it and looking at the pre-labelled harness.

Agreed. I was thrown by the diagram...but it made much more sense after staring at the labelled harness.
