That sounds like the MS is losing power or ground.

ok so i did the 1379 an it seems to be starting a little easier. I restabbed three teeth counterclock wise. So thee teeth down from the two tooth. also i took my hold ign n advance down to 0. my crank angle i took to 60 insted of 65. it seems to be running better. is this good i read some were u said to do that

ok so I'm having a weird problem now. I got it running good an stuff. But when I let it sit over night, ill go out to start it ill jump in it will fire up an ill start to back out an it shuts off soi about 30sec or so give or take. If i let it sit for about 10 15 min it starts. Today I couldnt figure it out so i unpluged the harness an push the cpu chip in thinking maybe it wasnt far enough in. But it was so i said to my self humm. PLugged the harness in tryed agian an vroom. ran, I drove it for about 10 mins had a few warm up problems i need to go threw but other than that what could this be. Is it maybe my warm up wiz fuel isnt high enough or something else.

oh yeah also i for got to mention. That when i first wired everything to the db37. I had the fuel pump wire an i wasnt getting anything out of it. I use my volt meter an even on cranking nothing so i had to run the fuel pump off a switched 12v source. I know its not good if i wreck but could this also be a part of my fuel problem like maybe the ms is loosing fuel pump an stops injectors?

You'll never see voltage out of the fuel pump wire - it's a ground, not a power-up.

Did you ever verify that you're not losing power or ground to the box? Watch the system voltage on whatever tuning software you're using.

if it dies after 30 secs or so, watch the wideband and see whats happening, maybe it needs a bit more warm-up juice

for the fuelpump relay, connect one side of the coil to +12v after the ignition and the other side to the ms2, then you can go in advanced-->output test and it should be working, if not you might somehow have fried the transistor..

I don't own a MS2, but normally you need to use a flyback diode on the transistor, but probaly this is standard equipment on the ms2..?

ms2 and ms1 both use the v3 board, and that has a circuit for flyback.

i dont think i have a flyback board. mine is just the normal bored with all the stuff changed to run all the stuff i need to like the dual vr bac diode an the transistor to run the bac. the one on the q4 or q3 the bord is out side in the car lol.. i just drove it an for once it runs. im having some little problems need to adjust my 02 voltage. N maybe another ground to the engine cause i have it to the battery

if you have a v3 mainboard, it has the flyback circuit built-in.

Both the 2.2 and the v3 have a flyback circuit for each of the relay outputs as well.
