My STI ran 13.8 @ around 1500 Ft above sea level Bone stock, never ran a rotary with it so I cant say. Dont want to get into a bench racing E-forum pissing match either, just posting what I ran to give you an idea of an actual stock time from a novice driver.

I got beat by one recently by about a half a car just a 3rd gear run to 100 because of traffic my car is untuned and i was only running 7 psi but I was impressed. I dont know what his mods were but it sounded like full straight pipe and he had a huge front mount.

^^ thats not bad if u were only at 7 psi.. had about the same mods and barely beat a mustang gt at 7psi.. it was from a dig though.

When I had 300whp on the twins I killed an EVO bad, the vid is on here. So I thought the STI would be bout the same. Not so. Sure, I walked him, but slowly (more the faster we went) I was impressed and thought he must have had more then just the In/Ex he claimed, especially cause after we ran a few pulls, he kept saying, over and over, he needed to get a bigger turbo. Why a bigger turbo? just turn it up the boost,... unless you already did!

my friend raced an STI the other day in his RX and beat him pretty bad.

my friend's car has:

Greddy Ti Exhaust
HKS Intake
HKS t51r Kai
Fluidyne Radiator
HKS Intercooler
850cc primaries and 1600cc secondaries
and some other upgrades

running 18 PSI

STI had:

Greddy Ti Exhaust
APS TSR 70 Turbo
Cobb Pulleys
APS DR725 intercooler
Arc Radiator
Injen Intake

running 15 psi

From a roll, the sti would hang with the 7 for about 3-4 seconds then the rx7 would almost seemingly leave it way behind. I would say about 4 cars in between them when they shut off. They ran 4 times and the outcome was the same, the rx7 kept beating the STI

maybe it was driver error on the STI's part since the guy who was driving it didn't look like he was over 18. Just from what I saw though the rx7 would beat up on the STI

I haven't raced an RX-7 against an STI, but I raced my 240Z against some. It really has a lot to do with the driver of the STI and if they have the boost turned up. An STI will kill most cars from a dig, if the owner doesn't mind ripping apart his first and second gears.

its simply retarded to go from a dig with an awd! For kicks, fine go find out how fast they can fly off the line...lol Its sick!
As for them not being able to go really fast, well you'd be surprised for such a tall boxy car! Then again, those are on crazy diets and all kinds of upgrades.

On that note, how is it relevant??? just like us there are a few with full race cars and bone stock...
It depends on which one you run????

Lecture over,
I've beaten a few and lost twice all at the same boost(around 8 psi) with BC off so there you go.

i've beaten a few EVO 9 MR and STi's....all with 300whp at 12psi. I had the following mods:

streetport, rb duals, greddy smic, mp/dp, pulleys, koyo radiator, etc...

I beat them no more than 2 car lengths. From what i knew they had bolt ons.

If the STI was only running 15psi that's a bit less than half of the boost he should be running to get that turbo into it's sweet spot. Fully tuned and running the proper boost that car should be putting down around 400hp/350 tq to the wheels. The APS 70 turbo is roughly equivalent to a GT35.

And just some general numbers from the Subaru world. A stock STI puts down around 250hp/250tq to the wheels. An STI with turbo back and tuning (commonly referred to as Stage 2) puts down 300hp/300tq.

a buddy of mine bought an 06 EVO a while back. when he initially got it he couldnt launch for ****. he got beat off the line by a damn mustang GT. from a dig the same GT stayed with him much better than i expected, but he still pulled away.

i also have another friend who has a modded GSX and he slowly pulled from the EVO in a roll. he cant launch for **** either.

after some practice the EVO driver got to where he could come off the line with all four tires spinning. he hit a 12.7 with a mostly stock EVO. surprised the hell out of me and all my friends.

I raced my friends STI yesterday, I was in the fast lane and he was a car length behind me. We were cruising at 55, I heard him downshift and floor it, as soon as I heard this I downshifted to third and put my foot to the floor... I immediately gained a car length by the end of third. As soon as I went into fourth I kept pulling away from him... We let off at 95 but I have to say I was very impressed since I'm only pushing out 340 bhp @ 11 psi and he has 370 bhp @ 19 psi

I beat a bolton and tuned 07 Sti pushing 19psi from 40-120 by about half a car. We ran 3times with the same result. I have also raced a few others with unknown mods and pulled them buy a couple of cars, but these were all from rolls im sure I would have to play alot of catchup if it had been from a stop.

lol... I know my Tacho has gone fubar so I cant really see what rev I'm shifting at, I'm just changing gears by the sound of the engine, unfortunately the Blitz NUR spec and external wastegate are very decieving when trying to decide when to change gears.... I will get my tacho fixed within this month hopefully then take it to the redline

oh so the same **** that everyone else has. stock ecu? 720s dont give you any more power, they are actually hurting you on stock turbo and basically stock boost.
