The part I am interested in is the oil cooler / brake duct vent. Specifically the square edge that sticks out preventing the side from having a straight angle.
You mentioned you don't know why there is that "bulge" and you want to eliminate that bulge AND push the angle inwards to open up the vent.
my uninformed theory for the bulge...
Let's assume the bulge is at the bottom 40% of the edge and the remaining 60% of the edge is without the bulge...again for the sake of argument, the brake ducts utilize the lower 40% of the opening and the oil cooler is the top 60%.
So as air flow is coming into the driver side vent opening, there is the brake duct and the oil cooler, with 60% airflow coming in flowing to the oil cooler and 40 % to the lower brake duct.
Considering the shape and direction the air needs to travel in the brake duct coming in from the driver side opening the air on th lower 40% of the GTC vent will enter the brake duct, be channeled to the left (or center of the car) around to the inside of the wheel and then back to the right towards the center of the brakes.
With that in mind, I would guess that the "Bulge" is an initial guidance point/aero effect to direct the lower 40% of the vents airflow in the initial direction that it needs to travel to flow through the brake duct and around the wheel. That's what I see the bulge accomplishing.
But depending on the brake ducting setup and whatnot, probably better to remove it like you suggested and just have the opening flare in the rear to expose more of the oil cooler...
Arrows elaborating my theory:
Red Arrows is lower airflow to brake duct channel/piping, and white arrows ducted towards oil cooler...

We really have to apologize for the delay, but we are also still waiting on the bumper. It seems like there is some issue again with the freight company. We are trying our best to work things out and the problem will be solved soon.
Alright, here is a picture from our test fit. The overall fitment is good, the whole bumper sits flush with the fender, light cover, and hood. However, we noticed couple minor fitment issues, such as some gaps being 1-2 mm too big. So we will fix these issues asap and get the productions started. Please understand that we might take a little extra time before the official production begins because we will need to make sure on the fitment before we release the product. Thanks you very much!
Sorry about the dirty car, have not washed it for several weeks!

The deleted side vents and re-profiled oil/brake cooling ducts look great! Any chance you can get a side profile so we can see the angle of the new sides?
Also I agree, the top (hood->bumper/lights) gap could be closed up a little.
Anyway, so far it's looking good! From the front that looks really nice, kinda reminds me of the Mazdaspeed RX8 bumper.

Yes, this is the race version bumper and the sample is also made in Flexible FRP.
Yes, the gap at the hood should be a little closer but the headlight area can only be moved closer for about 1 mm since we don't want it to affect the operation of the stock headlights while they pop up and might hit the bumper edge. We will test fit this sample on another car hopefully this weekend to double check on the fitment issues.

With the exception of some minor fitment issues, this is looking nice, clean and well made. Actually the bumper-to-hood gap wouldn't bother me so much (most OEM 93-95 noses sag anyway) but I can see from a side shot the gap is starting to appear leading up to the headlight pretty noticeably. That would be a dead giveaway of fitment issues.
When you guys test fit another fd with it, if you can, please take some shots from the rear angles as well, and a side pic of the entire piece (nose is cut off in the pic above).
Also, couple of portrait shots of the entire car would be nice, preferably in a natural light to depict what it's going to look like overall would be nice. You might get more people wanting this thing...
As far as wanting is concerned, I'll take one, even with fitment issues
- did you guys arrive at the final amount yet?
Great job btw... well done.

Thanks for the updates guys. Lookin good, can't wait to see it with those minor issues worked out. If you get the time, along the same lines as everyone else's comments, there is no such thing as too many pics/angles.
Again, thank you guys. . .lookin awesome.

Awsome work guys!!I am soo happy I went with this. I was debating the no letter slot but now that i see it I like it without better.
Only issue that would bother me that I can see is the top of the front fender to bumper gap is unequal(too large) But outside that I am impressed!!
When can we send the balance of payment? Do we still need more people before the # is known...( the money is burning a hole in my pocket, so to speak
)
