Please read post #1 of this GB thread and post #15 by Damian in this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=653423

Besides all the modifications, Damian and we will be working out a custom rebar and splitter to go with our track version bumper.

Feel free to contact us if you have any other questions!

Maybe I'm just not reading well, but does the "$500-600" include the splitter and rebar?

I haven't heard much more conversation on these pieces, and I'm very interested in them, especially the rebar. Any word?

no the price does not include rebar, splitter, and signal lights. We recently got an update from Damian, he is finishing up the design of the rebar but the finalized version won't come out until he receives one copy of our bumper. Damian and we want to ensure the fitment of every product we offer to the customers, so we need to testfit everything first before we can finalize our designs.

I have not gotten any updates on the splitter either, but again, Damian won't be able to work on the splitter until he receives our bumper so these two items will have to come after the bumper.

I can try to ask them for some pictures of the progress but usually they do not like to take the extra time and take pictures for us in the middle of the process since they are fairly busy and packed with projects all the time. The good news is they are finishing up the sample within this couple weeks so the picture of the sample should be available soon.

As Jesse requested, we actually got the factory to take couple pics of the progress, so here ya go. More progress pics might be available if they got the time to take some for us again.

And please disregard the dates on the pictures, haha, it's obviously not set up right.

One more question for all potential customers, would you like the exact replica of the original Mazdaspeed lenses or darker smoked ones? Here is a pic of the original Mazdaspeed set.

maybe fully smoked and little darker than now, but i am not sure if that causes any legal issues, that's why i am asking here.

We usually do not intend to sell the lenses separately, but if there are many people intend to purchase them, then we might consider. But for now, sorry, we do not.

Oh, come on BIG WILLIE, you know you want one, especially since your little dance with the pole...

No really man, that sucks and I'm glad you are okay, and that damage was minimal to your car.

but this looks like a great product.

P.S. when you get to the point of making the final decision got with the GTC, not the other bubbly looking one.

sorry for the thread jack!

thanks for the pictures, the progress looks amazing!

Thanks for everything Kevin!

How many lamp covers would i need to purchase for you to make more? How about if i ordered 3 sets?

alright, since the prices for the lenses have not come out yet, we will have to decide once we get them produced. We hope we can offer the lenses separately to those who need them.

I'd also like some pics of both the smoked and non-smoked for side by side comparison if at all possible. Thank you. . . if this thread is telling of your customer service, you've definitely got dibs on any of my business.

thanks you very much for your kind comments and support. With all the efforts we put into serving this community, most of the time all we ask for is some great happy customers.

sure, we will try to make some samples of both if they do not cost too much to produce in small quantity. I will see what we can do.

Any updates on when the finished product will be available/ship? I'm interested in a bumper (which one I won't know until pics are up) but don't want to wait too long.

Rich.

Our race version GT-C sample should be done within this couple weeks then more pictures of finished sample will be posted.

As of wait time, if you have not read the previous posts, the shipments are going out in batches of five and the priority is determined by the time when you send in your deposit. Since you have not sent in deposit, the earliest spot you can get in right now is #2 on third batch. I won't be able to tell you the exact waiting time until we finalize our sample.

Alright can you please add me to the list with a couple of additional questions:

1) Are the deposits refundable if this turns into a marathon wait period lets say 6 months from first post of this GB?

2) Are the deposits refundable if, for any reason, a potential buyer doesn't like what he sees in the future pics?

3) Will you provide a full kit ie, bumper, lights, rebar, grille mesh?

4) If a customer is close will they be able to pick up the bumper from you to avoid shipping?

Again please understand my skepticism. Its been 47+ days since the inception of this GB and we have yet to see any pics of the final product and have no hard dates/ deadlines promised. I am however glad to see progress and can't wait to see the final products.

Thanks in advance
Rich.

I'm going to have to second bigblockquad's concerns. The only reason I've yet to send in my deposit is because we still don't really have a concrete date of release or actual product, over a month since you've received first deposit. For most of us, when we're faced with a decision whether to send the deposit to you for an indefinite period of time or use it elsewhere, whether for a specific purpose or an interest bearing account - we choose the latter. Don't get me wrong, I think everyone (including myself) are EXTREMELY excited about this product and can't wait for you guys to bring it to the market, but there are always "what if" scenarios as bigblockquad rightfully pointed out.

Another one of my concerns is that I don't think it's fair for you to push people back to latter batches if you haven't received their deposit. You're right, some want it, but may not be able to afford it. Others - want it, but cautious because they still don't know exactly what they're getting. I don't think it's fair for us who've been waiting to see what we're buying to be penalized for not sending a deposit because of our concerns, which are legitimate, and wait longer.

That being said, I personally cannot wait to get this. I don't mind waiting for latter batches but I tell you - I'm going to be pissed if I miss out on this just because I wanted to see the final (or close to) product before sending in the funds. Everything said about this product so far sounds great - you guys seem to be concerned with excellent product quality as well as above standard customer service. That is very important for the rest of us FD owners (as well as the rest of Rx community) and it's truly a privilege to have people like you offer us superior products and services in the general market. Keep that up and you'll find more and more people here willing to spend their money with you than anyone else, myself included.

Sorry for the long post everyone, I try to not to do that too often but I think Bigblockquad brought up some valid concerns and the vendor should know he is not the only one that may feel that way. Don't know if JKL should necessarily do anything about it, but they should take it into consideration nevertheless.

Cheers, Dion

sure, I will try my best to answer all your questions.

First, I must ask you to understand the situation here involved in this project. We are applying multiple custom modifications to the bumper along with two different molds. And we will need to test the sample to see if it fits correctly. We have given an estimate date but it was a safe guess in case we really need to do some additional changes to the sample. These projects take time when you want to ensure the quality and fitment.

I totally understand both of your concerns about the "what if" and waiting time, but it's either we speed up the production but cannot guarantee the quality and fitment, or we take enough time and make sure everything is good before we release it. And we rather be yelled at for being slow than getting complaints later about our quality. So I really hope you could look at things from our perspective.

For the deposits and priority problem, first we currently have multiple products and tons of stock parts in storage and the space is very limited. The only reason we are doing different batches is because we do not want to fill up all our storage space. And I have announced this policy near the beginning of this GB so everyone on the list with a deposit sent in had made the decision with the same thoughts you have in their minds. So we are not trying to push anyone or trying to make things unfair, we are just trying to make everyone's life easier.

We constantly try to offer the best quality and customer service we can but sometimes we really cannot make everyone happy due to certain circumstances.

Again, we promise you that it won't be that long, such as 6 months, and the deposit is non-refundable. Please only send in deposit when you know you will definitely buy the product when they are ready. Our bumper package will include the bumper and lenses only. We will provide a custom rebar and splitter designed by Damian and turn signals at additional costs. And YES, you can feel free to do local pick up.

Sorry if all the policies make you a little inconvenient or uncomfortable but we only created them to help organize our GB and make everyone's life a little easier.

Totally understandable. Please do take as much time as you need to perfect this product. Our concerns are just that - concerns. They're not designed to speed up your production time (hope I can speak for you here bigblockquad). I know exactly what you're doing and I think it's a great way to get quality product out there. I just wanted to give you some feedback, as I can tell you guys like the feedback (or the Duck get it). Cheers and can't wait to get my hands on one of these.

Quick note on the mesh grille (bigblockquad) - you can get spools of this at Lowe's/Home Depot relatively cheap, the only problem is you don't use whole lot and it ends up sitting in your garage forever (had mine for over 7 years!). I still got crapload so if anyone in central Florida around Daytona area is getting one of these bumpers (or just need it) they can have some from my spool free.

I am about to send in my deposit for this bumper. I know that with Damian criticing it and the QC it sounds like you are putting into it, they should turn out bitchin and i want one.

My question is can you give me an estimate on shipping to 28037?(Just trying to estimate final cost at 600 for the bumper and ? shipping) I assume they will ship from SF? If you can estimate the box demensions I can figure the quote out, i just don't have a bumper here of any style currently to measure.

Thanks for putting the time into getting this correct the first time. I would rather you be slow than shitty quality.

Thanks again Dave
