Our splitter is not some resin or other cheap material core wrapped with FRP on the outside. To ensure the best quality and strength, we used at least 6 layers of our high quality FRP and compressed them together to provide the rigidity and minimize the weight. Shipping of the splitter will be determined once the sample unit arrives.

The ETA of the first batch splitter is first week of September.

My car is finally finished at the paint shop after nearly 6 months and ready for pickup tomorrow (crossing fingers). It was shot last week in a hundred pieces and finally assembled on Friday. Wet sanded and buffed over the weekend to perfection. JKL Racing GTC bumper, Pettit rear flares, FRP side skirts, Mitsu Evolution Graphite Grey color (Sikkens paint).

Update from my side:

As you already know, JKL is workin on making version of the splitter/undertray i designed a while back. Also, I plan to give JKL my radiator ducting design as well, so look for those in the future too. The canards and oil/brake ducts are still in the works.

 

Fresh out of paint. I didn't have all the mounting brackets for the bumper so it was quickly thrown on with 2 bolts up top. It does line up excellent though. Great job JKL Racing on producing such a quality piece. I think it looks killer on the car.

Let me know what you think! The rear flares had some work put into them and look factory....

that would be my guess, it looks like skinnies up front and those are some massive rear tires. looks about a 12 inch rim width

 

Molding the flares in out back will eventually crack. As someone stated they are also easier to replace if needed. I actually think the car looks meaner with them bolted on. It is a street car built to road race in NASA TimeTrial Unlimited and other events.

This picture is literally just rolling off the trailer and it is easier with spares up front to steer with no motor in it during construction. It has 18x10.5's on 285/30/18 Mich PS Cups up front and 18x12.5's out back on 335/30/18 Toyo RA-1's. Getting a 427ci dry sump LS7, Racing Brake BBK, double adj Penskes, and many other goodies.

My goal is to finish it for SevenStock XI in 4 weeks.

how much modification to the base 93 rebar is needed for this to fit? I got hit the other day and was thinking maybe it get this bumper since it's so damn sexy.

 

Sorry to hear about your accident. You just need to cut the top portion of the signal housing area on the 93 rebar so that the signal housing on the bumper can fit in there. It is fairly easy cutting job.

 

ok, that's what I thougth, but I was just checking to make sure, do all of the bolt holes line up or do you have to drill them yourself.
and the accident is almsot a blessing, the clear coat on my old bumper was chipping and peeling, and the paint on my hood was fading horribly thanks to that damn bra, and now I get new paint!

 

how much lower than the stock bumper does this sit? I'm asking cuz I have H&R down springs and Tokiko Illuminas shocks and I scrape pretty bad as it is, and if I get this bumper I don't want to get it all banged up and possibly ripped off.

This bumper sits lower than the stock 93-95 bumper without the lip on. With the lip on, they are very similar in height, the GT-C might be slightly lower. My personal FD used to have 93-95 stock bumper with 99 spec lip, now with the GT-C it scrapes slightly more often. So if you scrape with stock bumper, you WILL scrape with this bumper as well. Sorry about that, but that's the fact.

But in terms of scrape and bump resistance of our flexible FRP GT-C bumper, I once hit a fairly large hole in the ground due to road construction at around 35 mph and the bottom of the bumper is still fine as new, just all the paint is gone.
