A Z31 Rival
Hey guys,
My name is Brian. I own a 1985 300zx Turbo. I'm mainly browsing your forum so I can incorporate some of your older RX7 parts into my car.
I'm going to kind of do a multi post thing to get my post count up to PM people, but don't worry. You will still enjoy the pictures lol

Brian, we normally delete posts where a person comes on stating they are going to drive their post count up simply to be able to buy parts. I'm leaving this one in but you need to read this set of rules before you proceed any further on this website, ok?

Hey Mario,
First of all, thanks for being cool about this. Usually people flame pretty hard about this stuff, and I can understand why. I actually did read the rules before I posted and thought I would be honest with the community, but I'll refrain from statements like that in the future.
Anyhow, here is a couple pics to make up for my ignorance:
And my favorite one by far:
I don't see many RX-7's on the street in the chicagoland area, but I'll be looking for you guys!

Pretty sure the Windy City has got a strong local presence. Hit the regional boards after hitting the "Read This" threads that are sticky'd in the Introduce Yourself board. Reply once in each one after reading the inital post. It's the only place on the site that posting just one word is allowed as a reply to build a legit" post count. Crazy, I know, but it's like football practice or the military. It makes no sense now, it's grueling, but you'll be a better person after all of it.
..and the pegboard shot....true sign of the hardcore gearhead.
I got rid of the unneeded comment since my post was to head off a potential heartbreak. It's taken years of vigilance and the moderated thread filter to kill off all of the spammers and one-hit wonders trying to get on this website to peddle their junk but the process is frustrating to the people joining who don't know what it was like before.
Thanks for your candid nature and especially your patient nature in light of the deleted nonsensical post. We've got the Lounge for do-do's like that guy.
Have fun, nice shots BTW! Now dump that Interstate battery and get an obligatory Optima in matching red!

It's quite funny how most national forums are the same. Luckily in the z31 community most people are as*holes and flame so badly that it deters most spam and annoying noobs away from the site.
I've just never seen a forum like this where there is a certain process to get your post count up, so as said, excuse my ignorance lol. I can definitely see why you incorporate such a process though as this site generates a lot more traffic then any of the other forums I frequently visit. This is quite impressive and I'm kind of interested to join in on the community. I'm sure I've met a few people on this site at bigger meets.
That interstate battery has been in the Z running for over 10 years strong now. To the death do us part! The optima's are too much of a pita anyhow.

It is quite stunning....Performance Years runs a Pontiac site and this guy Gach runs a rival Pontiac Zone website, where I also moderate. With PY also being the catalog company, it's still down on activity to this website by 5:1. There's literally twice as many people online as we "speak" right now, I just checked. Ryan started this website in '98 and I think its early start has been the deciding factor. That, and the hardcore rotary guys weren't quite happy with the limited ability of the Mazda race websites that were up at the time. It was just the right website at the right time and the rotary tifosi are every bit as fanatical as the Ferrari tifosi when it comes to brand loyalty. Once you're hooked, you're hooked good. There's just not that many cars that can do that for you. The website has enjoyed its longevity due to those folk transferring, somewhat, that loyalty to RX-7 Club.

Looking for a couple more injectors from you guys and I can drop the turbo in! Have to get through the next 7 grueling days of this case though for the end of the semester.
