Smile New RX-7 owner, the story of a barn find.

Hi! I'm Giovanni, amateur racing photographer and professional jdm nerd calling from northern Italy, first time rotary owner. Last week I heard rumors of an abandoned first gen left to die in a truck parking lot, so I went there and came back with one dusty as hell SA22C. It's my first time with a Mazda (i've always been a Nissan guy, but this SA was too good of a deal to pass up!), so I have a lot to learn, but I want to restore this car as best as possible, I've always been attracted by RX-7s but I never got the chance to own one because of super high prices and rarity in my country, especially for FDs, and I'm really excited to start this project! Since I'm clueless about the technical side of RX7s, I made an account here. pics of the "barn find" below!

That appears to be avery complete and restorable car! It will need everything but I think its worth it! Hope you start a build thread in the 1st Gen section. I'd love to see your progress on the car! I'm a big SA fan and I love my SA, so if you need any help feel free to let me know.

I definitely will make a thread once I get started! It will need a lot of work, but the hardest thing to source will probably be the rear windshield glass which is gone.

Too bad you are so far away. I have several hatch glasses available. I would give you one if you were closer.

I'm not sure it would make it to Italy in one piece and I can't imagine the cost of shipping it.
