Brand New Rotary Owner
Just got into the scene with an 88 10th ann FC. It's pretty abused, so I felt like giving it new life. There's plenty I'm still learning, but I love what I've learned so far about RX7's.

Starting the RX7 10AE
Once everything that needs a little bit of fixing is fixed, take both of the lead spark plugs out and pout a little bit of marvel mystery oil down the plug holes and let it sit for a day before you start it or turn the motor. It will prolong the apex seals as it will lubricate them after so many many years of sitting. It's a beautiful car, good luck with it.

Was planning to go all out and get an engine overhaul / rebuild kit, but I’ll keep the oil in mind for testing. Thanks for the tip.

Have RX-7, will restore

I've restored worse and made it look pretty once again. My very first 10AE, I dug out of a field with a dead engine, and everything painted white or destroyed. I don't have a ton of pics left of the actual body unfortunately. The storage bins were removed and the wells were filled with expanding foam...stuff was painted white and covered in purple velvet...the tires were flat, the engine had no compression..a bunch of parts were missing..it was a total basket case. I spent quite some time and brought it back to life. The most expensive part was the engine but it was well worth it. Here are a couple before and after pictures for motivation. I wish I had more but they're stuck on an old hard drive.
