Hi everyone, just bought my 1984 rx7 so have just joined the forum.

I got the car a few days ago after spotting it on eBay. I rang the guy advertising it and had a bit of a chat and sent him a deposit to secure the car without seeing it as it was over an hour away and I didn’t want to loose out.

it’s done 84k miles and has spent the best part of 2 years sat in a barn. It starts up ok and looks to be in good condition but will need some attention which I’m happy to get on with.

The owner who had it before the guy I bought it off has made a few changes, like a full colour change to white from it’s original metallic light green, it has some sort of exhaust on it I’m not sure how far back it goes yet though and some questionable wire wheels.

so far my plans are to get it on a ramp to have a proper look at what’s going on with it and then get it back on the road before I start messing about with it and getting it more to my tastes.

either way I’ve got this as a project that I’m sure I’ll have and will evolve over the years. I have some plans maybe note like dreams for it but either way I’m excite to dive in to it.

Welcome!! The original color is rare and desirable!! Wish it were still that color. Still looks like a great car to restore!

Good to know. To be honest the body work will be getting some attention and with the paint not being original it’s going to be a nightmare to match so I was thinking of getting it put back to the original colour. I’m sure someone will know the paint code or name of the colour.

Thanks. I’m hopefully going to spend some time on it this weekend and then moving it to a garage at some point next week so I should probably start a new thread

The original color is beautiful!! It would be amazing being brought back to the original color. Here is a picture of a European spec RX-7 that belongs to another forum member here that is also Opal Green. Its stunning!!
