Considering buying my first RX-7 - '78 with 71,000 miles

My bosses dad bought a 78 RX-7 in 78, had it preordered and has owned it ever since.
It has been garaged. It has 71,000 miles.
There are some dings and missing trim.
It is Gold or Bronze.
The seal for the back window is out but in the trunk.
The owner took out the checkered seats and had them recovered in purse leather but that is old and a bit stained.
My boss is now selling it. What is it worth? Should I buy it?

Welcome. Even though it was purchased in 78, it is still a 79 model year car. The color is called Sonic Bronze. It appears to be a nice example. Would love to see more pictures of the car. Not having the original seats will hurt the value slightly, as the plaid seat coverings are desirable.

Prices can vary quite a bit, thousands of dollars actually. A lot depends on condition. More pics of outside, inside and under hood would help. Also, is the car still used regularly or has it sat awhile? Any known problems? When and what kind of maintenance was last performed? It appears the car was Sonic Bronze and has been re-painted in a 2-tone with that burgundy color. (the lower part of the car is where rust would first take a foothold) The tan seat covers seem to be an odd choice to replace the original red-plaid covers.
