BC lovin it..!!!!!

Hi my name is jason from british columbia.. My first car I bought out here was a 1995 integra.. I did alot of mods and bodykits and bodywork myself and i just love my car.. But I began to get bored of it cause there nothing more i can do to it.. So I decided to look for a different project car.. I came across a 1992 rx7 fd type r twin turbo RHD, Black, completely stock.. mint conditon I fell in love already.. so i bought it on the spot for $8400.00 With 130k..I hope i bought it for the right price... So Ive heard things about this car that it needs alot of attention. which i have no problem with... Ive been reading alot and things to up grade.. What I'm hoping is if someone can help by telling me what i should do or up grade first before anything goes wrong... Also what maintenance i should do regulary... Pleae help..

Thanks for registering with us and welcome aboard, Jason! I can guarantee there will be no shortage of opinions on what you should do now that you have the FD.

Let's see if any of the 3rdgen guru's are lurking about now that game One of the World Series is over.

Upgrade the headlights to factory, replace the silicone vacuum lines, and start reading. Oh goodness do you have a lot of reading to do. Get your post count high enough until you can read the FD tech section and just immerse yourself in the FAQ. Also, search for new buyer's tips.

Hello Jay, congrats too.

I live in New West, bought mine 4 years ago, and did most of the reliability upgrades, that is certainly one of the first things to do. Hope you have a garage but that is still handable if you don't. As mentioned previously immerse yourself in the FAQ with reliability mods and you 'll find guidance (feel free to pm me).

Good luck and look for the meets on bcrotary.com

With strictly a downpipe you will be ok with your A/F ratios. With the air intake, I'll need an FD pro to comment on this. Just search in the 3rd generation (FD) technical forums for info.
