...and dont plan on owning one. I do have a 91' turbo miata that uses some RX7 parts and hopefully will use more later on down the road.
Currently have a T25 from an SR20 Nissan with RX7 550cc injectors. Built my own manifold and 3" downpipe. My friend built my 3" exhaust. Now dyno figures because I dont really care how much power my car makes right now. Perhaps someday in the future.
I'm hoping to soon have an RX7 oil cooler and a successful retro fit of some RX7 4 piston calipers that I got for free (not sure which chassis they are from). I'm still considering doing an RX7 clutch type diff swap but I may just eventually pony up the cash for a good aftermarket one instead.
Engine bay shots:
This is actually not how my bay looks right now, but rather how it looked while I was building a turbo manifold for someone else.

This is how my bay looks right now:

The outside of my car is in a sorry state but here is a pic anyway:

A buddy of mine actually got rear ended by a big flat bed hauling concrete. He was at a stop light and got sandwiched into the truck in front of him which was a late 70's ford. The passenger compartment was very well intact and he was fine.

Thanks guys! I'm going to lurk and read around here for a bit. I've never wanted to take on the unreliability of rotaries but perhaps there are some myths about them that could be dispelled from my mind if I just did some reading. I wouldn't mind adding another mazda to the stable the more I think about it...

Honestly, you'd be very surprised at the crash worthiness of a roll bar equipped maita. They are pretty stout little cars and i've know people who have been in every type of wreck from T-bone, rear ended (both the rear ender and rearendee) and even flipped end over end at 100+mph. All survived with no more injury than you'd sustain from any other car from the same era in similar type accidents.
