Plans for my Rx7...

Posted: Tue Nov 08, 2005 11:39 am Post subject: Plans for my Rx7...

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stage 1: Everything that is already done, and then megasquirt. Plus cleaning up the interior a bit.
This will be done this winter.
Next year
Stage 2: Full ignition system upgrade. High performance fuel pressure regulator. 1600cc secondary injectors, aluminum air seperator tank, RP toe link set, brake upgrade, good street tires, maybe some sort of autox tires, and drag slicks, efini y pipe, and last peice of plastic piping.

Next winter and after
Stage 3:850 cc primaries, Big turbo upgrade, kaaz lsd, ring and pinion change, drive shaft upgrade, half shaft upgrade, clutch upgrade, transmission upgrade, flywheel upgrade, possible porting job on the motor or 3 rotor conversion (very unlikely but 4 rotor?), 3mm apex seals.

Interior/exterior: Comfortable racing seats, full 99 spec conversion, some sort of hood with that i can duct cold air into the intakes, very good sound system-possible subs, but most likely very good speakers and head unit, light weight rims, paint job, weight reduction, and just perfecting the car.

I can see most of stage 1 and 2 being done in the next year, Stage 3 i honestly dont think will every get totally done. I dont have any goal of beating someone, or a specific number i want to reach.

If i do not sell the car next spring for the right price i will most likely keep it for the rest of my life. I love the car, money is a little tight, but i can deal. honestly, i am to big for the car, hopefully in the next year i will have lost a bit of weight, but my height wont change. But if i lose the weight, the car fits me like a glove. If i wanted something roomy and comfortable i would have bought a cadilac.

My mom keeps telling me to sell the car, but my dad (who is the one that is always making me pay for all my own stuff) told me that if HE had that car, he would never sell it.
And coming from him that ment a lot. All my life ive had 2 dream cars. A 1968 mustang gt500, and a fd rx7. How many 19 yr olds get to have their dream car?

Well what do you think of my plans

Sounds like you know everything that your doing. It's always good to plan everything out. Props to ya! P.S. My dream cars are 70 Chevelle SS, Supra TT and a FD. I'm only 17 and I am lucky enough to own a FD too.

I would put the AST on the top of your list, and dont do the efini y-pipe if you are going single, just a wast of money. As far as not fitting, I am 6'2 220 and its snug, I am searching for a seat that will sit me lower though, which you might want to look into. smaller steering wheel might help a bit also.

just my .02

well i bolted the driver seat directly to the floor.
Btw i am 6'6 300 and i fit into my fd

I know, i am still debating going single or not, i most likely will.
I can make all my own piping, (pipe bender and welder are your friends) so thats not to big of a deal.
