MP3 Player Head Unit
I am going to replace my current JVC head unit with a MP3/CD unit. The one I am looking at is the Kenwood Excelon Z828. Does anyone have one of these or have any comments on this unit.
Here it is http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/carau....asp?sku=11564
I am also going to sell my current unit. The JVC "El Kameleon" It is still in great shape and works awesome. This unit installs super cleanly in an FD.
I am also selling the 12 disc JVC C/D changer that mathces this unit. The two work together with no seperate control unit. It is very easy to swicth between the C/D's with the head unit.
If you are interested let me know.

IMO, its the best MP3 deck you can buy. You won't be sorry. Kenwood's eXcelon line is great and you get a 2 year no hassle warranty. Don't pay retail for it! You can get it of ebay or other places on the net for a little over $400. Though the green doesn't match the interior lighting very much, its still a good choice as far as MP3 decks are concerned.

I could use a decent looking head unit, and I think the Kameleon is pretty slick looking. About how much are you looking to get? Does the unit require the changer to play CD's? Let me know:

I think the best mp3/cd car deck is the JVC SH99. That thing looks cool, and has audiophile technology built into it. It uses 24bit D/A converter, compared to Kenwood 1bit D/A converter. From what I've read, the JVC also sounds better then the Kenwood. The technology backs up the proof. I think it beats most deck in the specs. You can find it on the net for under $300 too. So it beat all mp3/cd car deck in price and performance.
