mazdaspeed, is CF a lot differnt from making things in fiber glass?? I have a few more questions too like what do you make the molds out of and how did you learn to do it. I am interested in learning CF fabrication but Im not sure were to start. The things I have read say to start with flat pannels and use a pane of glass for a mold and a fome core with the fiber glass back?? is this right?? and one other thing how hard its it to make things with curved edges. I would like to se the storage bins in CF also.

With the cf door sills, would they still have the MAZDA name on them? What price do you think? As Im from Australia, would that be a problem?

Sharp corners are a bitch to mold, so I probably wont have the Mazda logo on them. I dont have a price quote yet, but you can check shipping prices online, but I dont remember the URL for UPS or Fedex. My zip code is 31324, youll need that for the shipping cost calc. BTW, Ill ship them to you no matter the shipping price, but you will have to pay all of the shipping.

Well I would like at least the following parts

Sunroof (the stock one is very heavy)
Stereo surround
Door sills
Coolant panel
Undercarriage
centerconsole
centerconsole plate where the old mirror switch is
front fenders
rear hatch cover
++++++ the list just keeps getting longer.

If the price stays resonable like it sounds like it is I would buy all of the following. Also dont make a hood. The stock hood is light enough vs. a CF one.

Depending on the cost, I would be interested in the cf door sills. I am also interested in the S4 center console.

The stock fenders are suprisingly light. You would only lose a few lbs from the pair. When I make fenders, like any exterior panels, it will be kevlar as opposed to cf. Kevlar is more impact risistant and more resiliant than cf, its also a little lighter.

Ill have an updated price list soon, with the door sills and a few other things possibly on it.

When do you think you would be able to make hoods? Do you need more expierience till you can make them? I realize making a good hood out of carbon fiber would be hard as ****, but would it be possible?

The other guy whos starting to sell cf stuff is putting a little pressure on me to preserve business, so the hoods will be coming very soon. As soon as I sell my FB, Ill have the money for the mold, and wont need any downpayments until I actually start selling them. The only style Im going to make initially is like the border hood everybody has been drooling over since the first day I came to this forum(and before too, im sure). Im not setting an exact timeframe, but soon.

Im sorry, I have had your piece for longer than I wanted. Ill be able to send it back to you next week for sure. Its my spring break, and Ill have plenty of time. Because I had your piece for so long, I am going to sell you the first piece at MY cost. Ill give you the exact price when I finish the mold and send you the original back.

Mazdaspeed7, how long do you expect on the CF radio surround?

Also, will this include the shifter piece? (I am impartial about this)

Could you give me an est. time of completion? As you know, my plastic piece was broken in half by a ******* thief and I needed a new one. This gave me the perfect opprotunity for a CF one.

I just need to know when. I get my car back in a week - 1.5 weeks so, as long as its within a month, thats OK.

Please let me know. I have cash in hand for whenever you need it, but you told me not to considering it will just pressure you.

Thanks
