Prices will be the same for S4 and S5.

2 styles, same idea for S4 and S5, the only differences are the logicon/vent holes.

1, exact copy of stock, except possibly the ashtray. $200

2, logicon/vent holes cut out, but no other holes cut. Flat, smooth cf from the logicon down. $150

Both come with a cf shifter surround.

Yah do the S5 flat first!

I can't wait to see the surround, I want a nice clean background for the Pionner CD unit I have, the dark silver trim plate would look great against the CF surround!

Stuff

Well, I just had my 7 broken into and the radio stolen, they smashed up my surround pretty good in the process. So I'm looking for a new one as soon as I get everything replaced. A couple questions/comments

How hard is it to cut out holes for the radio?

I don't care about the ash tray

What is the under pan? (the plastic thing directly below the rad?)

and if I bought a bunch of pieces, surround, center console flat thingy, underpan, do I get a discount?

and the aluminum TID pipe is a great idea.

This should help answer a few peoples questions
The radio surround will/shifter surround will be about ~$200 for the stock copy, and the flat front one will be ~$150 or so. Price will be the same for S4 or S5. Cooling panel $85 shipped. The hatch cover will be ~$200 also. I havent worked up rough prices yet for the other things. I will cut 15% off the price for a package of 3 or more things at once.

Do you have an estimated time when you think you might be able to finish with the first surround? A good picture says it all.
It seems to me you have alot of interest for the series 4. I would understand if you attempted one that would fit you're car.

Also make a list for things that you think you're probably going to do in the near future. You would basically be monopolizing the carbon fiber market for rx-7s.

Sounds good man. Let me know if you want me to pay you now. Send me a PM. Thanks again.

Im very interested in the flat series 4 radio surround, mine is broke. I would very much like to see a picture first though, to make sure it is the look I want. Dont get me wrong, I trust your work very much. Also how hard is it cutting through this stuff. Ill probably put a cd player and 3 gauges in there...

Believe me, I know how that is. I will have pics up once I have made one. There has been plenty of interest, and I think I will have the mold started by this weekend. I will have plenty of pics up too.

The cf is very reasonable to cut. I have found that roto zip bits in a dremel tool(or a rotor zip if you have one) do the best job of cutting it, and then take a file to it to smooth it out, but a hacksaw works just fine too. Wood drill bits are fine for drilling it.

I like my CF panel I got from Mazdaspeed7 ... although it's not really exactly what I want. I would have liked for it to come out father on either side ... see the pic how it has a lot of empty space. But that's not his fault, it's because there's nothing stock left on my car.

Maybe I'll sell this one and have him make me a new one that fits my application. Nice looking piece though.

It comes off very easily.

Boosted7, if you want another one, and want it to fit closer, let me know. Making you another one will not be a problem. FYI, youre panel has a different cloth on the top than most of the ones I have made.

ya cf storage bin covers would be sweet, i just wish the prices were cheaper, can u guys just use carbonfiber lookalike material to lower the costs? I really want the radio surround, center console, storage bins, and also gauge surround in cf, but using real cf is expensive..

he already said most of the cost was from making the molds and it'd still be expensive w/ fiberglass

Just another word of support

Things that I would be interested in for my 88 (s4) vert:

1. Cooling Panel.
2. Flat radio surround. Fine with me if the ashtray is not there, and I would not mind if the lighter took a hike as well. If there is room to incorparate cupholders though (as von suggested), that would be really great as well.
3. Center console piece.
4. Door Sills.

Looks great sofar, I can't wait to see the pics for the surround and sills. If needed for the sills, I could probably give you some $ down.

Thanks-
