Lower Quality Dual 12"s, or Good Quality Single 12"?

I'm stuck between getting a good quality single 12" sub/amp system, or a similarly priced lower quality dual 12" sub/amp system....is having the extra one worth the cheaper quality versions of similar subs? Would you rather have cheaper quality duals, or good quality single?

In lieu of two mediocre 12"s, I'd run one superior 12" or 15" (assuming you have the room).

For a setup thats gonna have a lot of rap, lots of bass and thumps and such, should i maybe go with two high quality 10"s? Or go with one 12"?

In this case, a single 10" sub in a bandpass box will be plenty. Just make sure you get a high quality sub, a cap, and a nice Class D amp pushing big watts.

One good sub will sound better than 2 so-so subs.

For Rap I'd recommend the 12 over the two 10s. Step up to a 15 if you can. Unless you like to throw some rock and metal into the mix. If that's the case, get a twelve.
