Very good question! I would like to know also.. for those who still want to use stock belt system..

I also heard its not safe to use RE rear tower harness bar and 4/5 point harnesses.

It has been done. You can search for a picture of Guitarjunkie's car as he mounted one. IMO, those seats are too bulky for the FD.

They dont make the SPG's or SPA's in Red do they. I know the SPG's that are wide can come in red but I'm not a wide person.

It's a Torino. Sparco doesn't have rails specifically made for the FD, so I used the stock rails with some brackets I fabbed up.

IMHO the Torino is a very comfortable seat, but it just doesn't fit very well in an FD (to bulky). If I had to do it all over again I would just by a non adjustable bucket seat from Bride or Recaro.

I believe Recaro Japan offers the SPA's in red.

I had an SPG Pro Racer in my FD. It was a tight squeeze, but they fit. I bought the rails second hand and the only info I could get from the seller was that they're "JDM Super Low."

Yes, it does. And it doesn't touch the seat.

Its called a blind spot for a reason. You can't see ish. They suck for the street. I just used them on the track. And I'm very aware of everything behind/beside me on the track.

Just gauging how comfortable the seats are at your height and weight.

No Problem. I'm 5' 10" 155 lbs. and slender. I am actually going to sell these seats as soon as Ramy can find me the JDM Recaro RS-Gs that I want.

HedgeHog, did you have to modify the seats themselves to make this fit? In Particular, the bolster (shoulder) area.

Not seat modding...however, it does put that ubiquitous dent in the door panel. I'm only 5'9" so where my seat is seems to be nearer the widest part of the interior but the small dent may be of concern if you are picky about retaining everything in tact.

I think Omochi's Recaro doesn't rub nor a friend's Bride when he had the car. However, I'm chunkier than them and I don't like the how the back support doesn't properly envelope me. The Pro2K fit really nice and comfy.

I know exactly what you mean about fitment. I actually own a pair of Pro2k, never got a chance to install it. Did you use the OEM rails and mod it or did you make your own completly? I am considering purchasing rails from Bride or MemoryFab, does anyone know if they will work with the seats?
