Interior Camera Mounts

Bump.
Over the past couple of weeks, i been trying different ways of mounting a camera (thats within hands reach) in the FD.
Its much easier for people to run camera mounts when they have rollbars or cages but what about people who dont have that?
The rear strut bar is an easy option but again, very hard to reach when you're sitting inside. Although the view from the rear strut bar seems to be absolute perfect.
I tried looking up on google for different camera mount setups mounted to the headrest of the seats.
Except in my case, i dont have headrest, i have racing seats so mounting is almost impossible.
Right now i have some zip ties that i strapped the mount over the left shoulder area of the passenger seat. Using the hole for the harness as a support hole. It works a bit but if you move the mount, it will move.
Im very frustrated and wonder what you guys use if you dont have a rollbar or cage?

Yeah i know that. But i think its senseless to get a rollbar or a cage just for the sake of mounting a camera perfectly and with ease.
I was just hoping for other solutions. I have a good window suction cup mount but some angles are hard to capture.
Basically i want something that comes from the rear seat almost.

I just purchased a small video camera (lipstick type) from thinkgeek.com
They just dropped the price of an all-weather camera to $80 + shipping/handling. It has a standard lens and comes with a few different types of mounts. I'm currently running the "handle-bar" mount from the rear-view mirror pedestal. I tried to attach it to the passenger seat, however the footage came out MUCH too shaky. Although the plastic "handle-bar" clamp is good...it is too large a diameter for the rear view mirrors pedestal...so I went to a hardware store (I'm sure any will do) and picked up a bag of light-switch backing. It is small, foamy and so far works GREAT for stabilizing the mount to be clear of vibrations!
I'll get picks up shortly.

Home depot is your friend. Some aluminum square tubing and some u-bolts can do wonders.
Also, if you are looking for a cheap clamp, you can simply google "clamp camera mount" and find some that are around $20=$30 bucks designed for smaller tubing (for strut bars etc.)

The only thing I would like to improve on this system is the lens. A wide-angle lens such as a Go-Pro would be great, otherwise the video feed is steady, even over uneven/bumpy surfaces!!
