Hey guys...just curious on opinions of which stereo head unit to put in a 86 rx....i plan to put sub's and an amp in eventually but for now i just need to go with a different unit cause its my step-dads and hes gonna want to put it in the cougar he just trade for.... Also for those who have s4 fc's please post pics of your interior so i can get some ideas...

Nakamichi CD-45Z I've had it for a couple of years now, I still think it's the best sound for the money.

 

Pioneer P77Mp, or the P80MP if you want something a bit smoother

 

pioneer is the way to go, if you can afford it go with the primire it has a 2 year warrenty, i have delt with 1000's of radios and by far pioneer for the money is the best.

 

i've got a rockford deck, that works well and sounds good
doesn't have a fully customizable EQ, but the "Punch" EQ setting is pretty decent, basically just an up in the bass mid and treble, here's a pic...
i also bought it because it is red and black, and matches my car and it's interior...eventually i hope to wrap everything in black leather and red stitching...so far i've only got a red steering wheel, re-wrapped center console and and red shift boot, but it' a start
