FD cd Player.

Does any know why anytime you insert cd in Bose CD player on FD. it's stays in it for few seconds then comes back out. I though i had bad CD player, so i bought used one from the guy that claims its working fine. try that CD player and it doing something. is the second one dad also. or its some weird reprogramming to CD player required? Any info would be great.

Is the disc a cdr or rw? If so, the factory Bose players don't recognize them.

My stock Bose player had no problem with most of my CD-Rs but it wouldn't read CD-RWs.

Ahh, well I've seen others on here that had the stock Bose that said they weren't compatible with either one. Who knows.

It's a possibility. Does it eject right away, or after a few seconds? If it's after a few seconds I would take it that it just can't read the disc so it gives it back. The deck has to spin the disc first to read it so if it can't then it will eject it. If it's right away I would think there is something wrong with the deck itself. Try a few regular cd's too and if it spits them out I'm going to think the deck has something wrong with it. Might just need to be cleaned.

MyRedFD tnx for helping out you seems to be most that cares in helping me out on this thread. Yeah il try other CD's see if it works. Just that I bough another factory cd player (used) and its doing same thing. Just like you said, Insert cd in and about 6-7 second later it ejects it.

Just that most of new Cd players even if they wont read Cd, they will not eject it unlike this factory one.

No problem. Most older players won't recognize a cdr or cdrw. There wasn't exactly a certain time that all brands and models could read them as it was an eventual update but I would assume if it's 8 years old or newer it should play them. I'm guessing yours is too old to recognize them. There are plenty of decks out there that are fairly inexpensive but good for the price. I would suggest going that route if you have a bunch of burned discs.

just confirmed my problem today. I used original CD (not copy) and it worked fine. so my original player is working fine also (probably).
I don't have problem going to the aftermarket players, just that i hate to see none stock interior parts.
tnx myredfd for your info. my problem is solved. (poor knowledge of my audio system).

Glad to help. I understand some people like to stay stock looking as much as possible. Just sometimes in order to get around a problem you have to go aftermarket.
