Cluster issues? My solution...Speedhut gauges retro fit.
I'm in the same boat as you were originally in Rick... The red face gauges could just look so sharp in the right car, I will have to seriously consider it one day. I will certainly take you up on your extremely generous offer to help fellow rotor-heads for such a reasonable fee. Count on a message from me in the future and congrats again
anybody ever get an idea of how to make cruise work with this? I'd hate to drive from El Paso back to North Georgia with no cruise, but my water temp and oil psi have quit working on me.
Was the LED trick a no-go? I don't remember the outcome of that idea.. (posted somewhere in here by Rick)

You can replace the 3 guges (Fuel level, oil pressure and temp) and keep the OEM Tach and Speedo. That way you can have cruise control. I might have a solution to keep the CC working but I need a guinea pig.
I'd thought about that as well, but i'd like all my gauges to match. Even if they look close when the lights arent on, im sure the lighting will be a bit different with the lights on since i've done the white LED mod. It would just bug me if nobody else noticed. That and if your going to the trouble for 3 gauges, might as well replace the other two. Whats your guinea pig idea? You can pm me if you'd like. What about getting the non GPS version of the speedo? Would that work to keep CC? What would be the turn around time for you? I'd have to buy a 2nd cluster because I cant go an extended period of time without my car because i do daily drive it to work. LMK.

The way I mount the gauges allows you to plug the original harness o the cluster so you can retain all the warning lights and turn signals. I can electrically connect the OEM speedo and mount it behind the cluster assembly so it would be out of sight but it will still function for the cruise control to operate. The non GPS cluster will not wok because the OEM speedo is the one that sends the signal to the cc computer.
thats actually a pretty good idea. but will it work? lol. I wonder how big of an issue it will become once i switch to a LSx to keep cruise with the setup like that. PM me a price and a turn around time for you to do it.
If you decide to go with another double din unit, consider the following items:

I wanted a near-stock look, didn't want to spend a fortune and this unit allows you to match any color interior lighting perfectly (amber, red, orange, etc.).

There's 2 ways of matching the lighting color, either doing the whole stereo in a single color, or doing the buttons and screen individually. For each, it has around 40 preset colors or you can mix your own with the RGB sliders.
The Speedhut gauges look fantastic in the cluster, very understated and original. Now you got me wanting to do it with my FC...
yeah you can, but for some reason when i started my car to pull it out of the garage while my cluster was out the car ran like hell. It was sputtering and running rich and all kinds of crazy stuff. Then when i put the cluster back in it took forever to start because it was flooded.

When I was refinishing my interior, I dove the car with not cluster for like 2 weeks with no issues. I used the PFC as a way to monitor my temps and stuff.
I guess I'm gonna have to repair/keep mine stock. Not only would I like cruise control to work, but due to being disabled I've got an automatic & recently found out the overdrive function relies on the speedometer to some degree.

I'm not sure if you asking me or Mr. Rick. I love the tach. The ferrari F430 is what inspired me to go with a REAL tach as opposed to the stock one. On start up there's a ceremony. There's also a progressive shift light (green to red), so you can focus more on the road. There's a beeping noise as well to help with shifting points. You can custom set the warning light/beeps to your desired RPM. No complaints
