Bare metal prep?

so I finally have a garage to put my f c into this winter. the original white paint has gone to hell and back so I decided to strip down the bare metal and repaint the whole car. since my painting won't be done until spring time is there anyway I can keep the metal from rusting over winter. I am using google to find a few items but it's all only good for a few weeks and the biggest suggestion is to go ahead and primer its which I might not be able to do in such a small garage if you want to give me a link or a item that would work
I'd be thankful!

Epoxy primer is your best bet. You can even brush it on if you have to but you need something to protect it. Though bare metal does hold up better in colder drier weather as long as no one touches it with bare fingers.

Btw im using an Eastwood 2 Epoxy Primer for spot protection after repairs and for the first two coats of primer. Epoxy holds great on bare metal and provides a solid base for either high build primer or topcoats.

You can leave metal bare for a long time if you hit it with this stuff:

I have a car in my shop right now that was treated with the stuff last year and it still is not rusting. That is with typical Fl humidity and salt air 24/7.

you could also use a self etching primer that is used for corrosion protection before you use a high build, primer surfacer. All on preference....

Thanks guys, the car will be in an unheated garage with a cover. I'll look into the stuff mentioned.
