8" sub install

Where's the best place to do a hidden install of an 8" sub. I want to keep it out of sight to hide it from all the damn thieves in my town. I don't want my hatch window smashed for $200 worth of amp and sub.

search around. there was a post recently in the 2nd gen section i believe about mounting a sub in the storage container. people have also put it in the spare tire wheel well.

Find the pic in this forum which shows an amp in the passenger side storage bin and a sub mounted in the drivers side. The install looks pretty clean, though there's no telling what the "behind the sceens" look like. It looks as if the owner mounted the sub onto a board then mounted the board to the underside of the storage bin opening, and can still shut the storage bin door. Probably took lots of work, but it does look really nice...Mad Props to the owner.

you can probably get a low profile sub under your seat if you can fab a box thin enough. they dont hit hard, but you should expect that with 8's.

You could put one or two of these behind the seats.
