Wiring the stock tach w/elite 1500 and igbt coils

I've got an S4 FC and an Elite 1500.
I've followed the instructions on this thread .. https://www.rx7club.com/haltech-foru...-tacho-829607/
but still unable to get the tach working.

I'm using the purple/black wire (dpo1) and have tried wiring to the yellow/blue wire in the stock harness(there actually seem to be 3 yellow/blue wires in the 2 harness plugs-tried all of them).

What am I missing? If nothing, I'm running igbt coils instead of stock. Is there a way to wire the tach directly to the igbt coils?

Your best bet is to wire in to FME-01 or directly to the ME harness. There should be only one Yellow/Blue wire, top row 3 in.

For some reason that didn't work.
I spliced into the signal wire of the leading igbt coil and wired that to the yellow/blue wire with the bullet connector that's in the harness of wires by the rear coils.

there should be one wire with a bullet connector where the Trailing coil was installed.
Hook your purple to that.

Y, I wired the purple/black wire to that yellow/blue connector-the one with the bullet connector. That worked.

That should actually be the same signal/output as the wire I suggested. If everything is working as it should great, but you may have something tweaked/broken upstream that may cause problems in the future if you're trying to tap into any of the FME/X connectors in the future. Just a heads up.

What are your software settings? Pull up set to 12v, 2 pulse?
