Tried to Start My Car................ and nothing

I got no injector (I think this because I can't smell the normal flooding smell.

And, I have no trailing spark.

Any ideas ?

Do you have fuel pressure?

What kind of ignition setup do you have?

Yep, got great fuel pressure.

I'm using the stock TII ignition.

It's got a old KAN map in it, so the settings should be right. E6K's don't rest themselves do they ?

I haven't checked leads for 12V on the injectors yet, gotta get ready for fireworks and hot dogs now

Thanks if you can help ! Thanks if you can't, too

Alright, I went out and checked power to the injectors. The haltech side of the harness. The below picture indicates which pin has 12V

I also pulled all the plugs off the injectors and they all have 12V.

There's no fuses that would run the injectors or trailing, right?

Just install a haltech? Some people hook the power to the wrong wire so it doesn't get power when cranking. I want to say the injectors have a fuse along with the ecu and one other thing.

Check to make sure the ignition toggle function is turned on. Also, as mentioned above make sure you have power to the ECU and injectors while you're cranking the engine. Do you get an RPM signal when cranking?

I'll check the toggle function on sunday, I have family stuff tommorow

The tach in this car has never worked, not sure why. So, no I wasn't getting a tach signal if that's what you mean. Will check to see if I'm getting 12V while cranking too.

What do you think about fuses, are their fuses related to the trailing and injectors ?

By tach signal I mean to look at the rpm readout of the data stream on your laptop. Since you have 12V at the injector it's not a fuse.

I hate to be such a dumbass noob, but which screen exactly is that on. I'll be out of town until late tonight so I won't have much time to search.

Also, which screen is the ignition toggle on ?

Thanks, again sorry for being such a non searching knucklehead. I normally do but I don't have time today.

The input/output page. (aux out function). Did you check it while cranking yet? If it shows it disconnected while cranking your losing power while cranking.

The map you sent me does have the ignition toggle enabled. One thing I did see is that he has tooth offset set at 3. If the CAS has been stabbed my the factory method you'll need to change that to 11. Check out the Hitman site for info on that. http://www.hitman.hm/installation.htm

Do you have leading spark while it's cranking?

Before I bought the car, it was tuned by Steve Kan. The haltech currently has that same map loaded. I have not loaded up the new map yet, I just wanted to make sure I had fuel and spark yesterday. I never pulled out the CAS nor Changed the ignition setup since Steve Kan tuned it last. I did however, re-wire everything

I'm going outside now to check fuses, fire up the laptop, load up the E85 map and filler her up with E85.

I'll make sure the injectors are getting juice while cranking and report back in a few.

It has the old map loaded up in the haltech from when it was tuned 2 years ago. So, it should already be setup for the TII ignition.

Why would a FD setup not fire a TII setup?

While cranking, I have good 12V to the injectors.

Laptop broke so I can't look at the map. Gotta get a new laptop this week.

The TII Trailing coil, the two tan wires coming off it. Does 12V need to be on both of those with the key on ? I only have 12V on one and .9 on the other.

I checked the wiring of the trailing again. Everything go's to where it's supposed to.

Both tan wires have 12V

Pink go's to the white/black wire on the harness plug.

White go's to the Green/Black harness plug. Well, it bypasses it.

Yellow, go's to the tach.

So, what do you guys think ?

Does the leading coil fire? Sounds like you're not getting a signal from the CAS. You need to get the laptop hooked up and check the data screen to see if you're getting an rpm reading. If the leading coil is firing then you are getting an rpm reading of some sort.

Dude, I'm silly like that. The haltech is hooked up and is loaded up with a old 550cc primary/1600 secondary combo TPS Calibration ! Doh ! I forgot that I need to do that ! Thanks ! haha

I just wanted to crank it over to verify that I have fuel and Spark and maybe here a pop or two

Sounds pretty loud with the 5 inch exhaust just by cranking it over.

Everything else is done, though brother. Well, besides it running

Yep, got great fuel pressure............

Hmm.

If its sparking there's definetly an RPM reading, accurate or not.

My suspision would move to the fact that you're running + 8,000CC worth of injector. Hook a DMM up to the negative side of a few injectors and see if its pulling to ground when you crank it. Although a DMM may not be fast enough....may have to use a noid light or an LED hooked to 12V and the negative at the injector(s).

could be a pooched coil. That would also explain why the tach doesn't work.

Try grabbing another. all FC coils are the same(N/A vs TII), so you could grab one from anywhere.

I have another coil to put in, so I'll do that this weekend also.

Anything else besides getting the laptop and checking the map ?

A windows based laptop will run a E6K, right ? Will I need anything else ?
