Haltech sprint re no spark
I finished installing my sprint re, fuel pump fuse is not on yet since I'm trying to make sure I'm getting spark first. I think I know why I'm not getting spark. It's because of a bad battery and low crank speed. But what I would like to know if I take the CAS out and spin it by hand should I get a spark and would the timing light be able to sense it? Here's a video of the rpm
Do you get an rpm signal when you crank the engine on the starter? If so, you should have spark.
You should have an rpm signal and spark when you spin the CAS by hand. Should be able to hear the injectors click as well.
You won't necessarily get a strobe on a timing light. They're notoriously finicky. Pull a plug wire off a plug and insert a spare plug in the wire. Sit the threads of the plug on the intake to ground the body of the plug. Spin the CAS by hand or crank the engine on the starter while watching the plug for spark. That's the best test to see if you actually have spark.
