turbo timer function

I would like to implement the turbo timer function on a PS1000. We have the Haltech harness w/relay box.

I would like to use a spare relay position in the box, but I need connectors. where can I source them?

Also, as many connectors as I've de-pinned I can't get the pink wire out of the box. It can't be that hard but so far no-go. Is there a guide that shows how somewhere?

Thanks,

Victor

I had to order pins previously. Email JP: john.pleasant@haltech.com or call him at 760-598-1941 to order. I think it was $10 for them.

There was an example in the ecu guide that used 2 relays, but I did it with 1 relay and a diode.

Just to give you an idea, I put a diode in the pink wire. An AVI went before the diode (so the ecu knew when the key was off) and the relay (triggered by an output) powered after the diode. I also put a switch in the ecu output wire so that I could force a shutdown while the timer was active.

The turbo timer feature works great!

Every harness ships with extra terminals packaged inside the fuse box. If you didn't receive them, contact your vendor and ask them to send you some.

All I can find is the quick start guide. Is there a more thorough guide available?

Could you draw up a diagram of your setup?

I was thinking to wire it up with one relay, Is there a reason to use two?

Hit F1 in the software. That's how you access the manual. Look under outputs and there is all the description you need.

Ok, I had "cruised" the help section a bit, but somehow missed out on all the best stuff.

So now I see the reason for two relays is because there is an input and output for the turbo timer, and the input needs to be isolated when the ignition switch is turned off. I can see how this could be done with a diode, but I'm going to stick with the "Haltech Method"

Anyhow, thanks again for getting me going in the correct direction. I really appreciate the effort you put into making knowledge available to the masses.

Now to get back to reading the whole guide...
