Ps1000 w ID2000 injectors

I'm just curious if anyone know if running Id2000 for primary and secondary (id2000x4) on pump gas with this ecu have any problems tuning for idle on pump gas. I'm coming from a power fc /datalogit setup and it can't control the id2000 that well for primary

I haven't done it, but I remember reading about someone doing it with a rotary. Might of been Steve Kahn. There are some videos of piston engines idling the ID2000s.

sure might be possible but the window you are shooting for is going to be VERY VERY small. takes a skilled tuner to get the maps right with that huge of a primary injector. the IDs are good injectors and can handle low pulsewidths but the tuning software can't make up for the rather brick in hole oversize injectors.

the timing and the trigger functions on the haltech are also essential to getting the engine idling right also.

Yeah ive been studying a ps1k map on e85 with 4x2200 from a member on this forum. Heard the first part i'll have trouble with e85 is getting it to start up with the right amount of fuel

If you're planning to run E85, then there will be no problem at all with the ID2000s. I assumed you were asking about using them with gasoline.

Yeah...I run 4XID2000 and idle perfectly.
Make sure you adjust the dead times according to the tables on ID's website.

Yeah I've been looking at your map. I planned on going e85 but I was just curious if say I wanted to make dual maps. One for e85 and one for pump and if it's possible.

Yeah I remember seeing that Steve did it and said they worked great. We've had great luck with 4x2000's also on rxtacy's car on e85. Just for reference we have a spreadsheet on our site that converts the ID data to Haltech dead time tables, so it's copy and paste. http://www.fullfunctioneng.com/downloads.html

Good looking out!! Ill most likely be picking up one of your trigger wheel setups for my FD. Could you explain the whole deal about the hall effect sensor and if its needed on FD's or is it just for the older systems with higher interference?

I was looking at rxtasy e85 ps1k map and noticed the dead times and trigger wheel was rx8. The dead times ID gives are general and on the haltech its more in depth with the intervals. Did you guys just interpolate them?

The Hall effect sensor isn't absolutely necessary. I think it's a mindset that is still left from the older systems. We've had plenty of guys run the mag sensor on p1k but I think Haltech may still be recommending Hall if it's available..

Yes, we interpolated the ID data to fit the Haltech tables so it would be a little easier for our customers to plug the data in.

bumping an old thread here, but i installed my ID2000 injectors in the primary locations and bought 2x 2200cc injectors from Fuel Injector Connection and installed in the secondary locations. running on gasoline.

so i'm running 4x 2200cc injectors, and the id2000s in the primaries seem to be making VERY loud fuel pulsation. has anyone else experienced this?
