Lightbulb NO RPM/START while cranking HELP!!

I am still having problems with my darn Haltech E6k...

The car will not start, there is no spark, no rpm on the tack or on the engine data page, I have checked all the wiring for continuity and poor connections, it is all ok. What else should I look for? I can get into online mode so the ecu is ok......

HELP!

either your CAS is wire'd wrong or its dead. I had an intermittent problem with mine one of the wires coming was slowly coming out the back of the plug i was using, happened to be the +ve feed to the CAS so it wouldn't get spark or rpm readings

Ok, I just put in a spare CAS that I know is in perfect shape. Still no RPMS. I did notice that when I turn the ignition to the on position that the tac hops and then falls back to 0rpms and continues to stay at 0rpms as I crank the engine over. How do I go about checking the Ignition switch? I AM SOOO STUMPED. ANY HELP OR SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!
Thanks,

When I turn the car to on, I get few readings on the Engine data page that pop up for a sec and then go away.

Here they are:

RPM: 60.0

Injection Time: 12.7ms

Duty Cycle: 4.0%

These readings just flash up for a second and then dissapear...... WHAT COULD THIS MEAN?????

you continue to have a wiring problem. I don't know what to tell but to make sure every wire is in the proper location and the connection is done correctly. if you are reading different info while cranking I would check the way you have the ecu wired. is this a street car install patched into the stock wiring? I would isolate the haltech and use some manual switchs to see if there is a problem with the stock wiring. again it is hard to diagnose wiring type issues over the internet.

Does the 60 rpm blip on the engine data page AFTER you stop cranking the engine (key in START position)?

Fastrotories has the same issue.

I highly suggest you both check your 12V, switched 12V, ground, CAS connections, and ignition connections for a short or bad connection (GND).

It sounds like Fastrotories gets either a glitch or noise on inputs (Home and Gain??) showing 60rpm.

FastRotories found the source of the problem: +12V switched connection.
He sourced from the wrong switched power (the RX-7 schematics will show you the different power sources).

Again, check your connections, especially power and ground.

Good luck!

Yes apparantly there are two switched connections on the TII. 1 is always on, and the other switches off during cranking. I used one of the stock main harness. It's a black with white stripe wire. Now it works fine.

GO look where your stock computer used to hook up to. No not the engine harness you removed. And off that line you should see a similar wire. Actually there should be several of them there. Also are the black with yellow, and those you can't use since they too turn off when the ignition is cranking.

Yeah sounds like you need to confirm that the 12V ign wire you are using is HOT WHILE CRANKING. A $19 DVM from Advance or Autozone will help you with that task ...
