All 2 wire BAC/IAC's use a 12v switched source and 1 PWM on the negative side.

2 and 3 wire BACs are controlled through the PWMs and 4 wire BACs are controlled through the IDLE output wires. When you use 2 or 3 wire BAC the Stepper Motor Idle Control check box in the Idle control window must be UNchecked, if you use a 4 wire valve then you check it.

That is the way its done.

see.. I knew there was something really fishy about setting this up.. just wasn't sure what it was.. Haltech manuals are really poorly written in this aspect.

thanks claudio.. now do you have an E6X map for 3 bar map, 550 /750 cc , turbo setup ?

Yes, i know what you mean, thats why i usually always recommend to newbies to download the E6K manual that is on the Haltech site, it was a tad more informative than the newer ones.

But, and you didnt hear this from me , im working with haltech to redo the manuals, as well as translate them to spanish, so, hopefully we'll have more intuitive and informative manuals in the near future.

As for your map request, go to the help with maps thread, and download the regular stock map, and just lower the bars after the stagging point a little bit to get it good, if anything, it will be a tad rich when the secondaries kick in.

moving on to the next question, ( again the manual is a bit vauge ) I'm using the PWM 1&2 to powere the RE ICV , PWM3 I want to use to power the turbo oil pump and attached the internal turbo timer to it based on time setting PWM4 I want to use to run the Efan .. is this a possible configuration or do I ned to use PWM 3&4 together to run one device only.. from what I've read it looks like I can used each PWM as a switched 12V signal .. but I thought that about the ICV and the PWM .. which above says requires both

What do you mean by "the RE ICV"? You use the PWMs as the ground side of the equation, you need relays to power the devices you want to run, if you want to have the turbo timer feature you need to implement the AuxIn and a PWM and 2 relays to make it work. Have a read through the E6K manual, its a bit more informative, and has the little schematics on how to connect it.

Finally for an Efan, you will need a relay, connec the relay directly to the battery, and the PWM you use for it will be the grounding side, thats how it closes the circuit and activates the device. If you try to connect the output directly, it might fry.

.. Ok, I understand what your saying now I should have asked earlier if the PWm were the switching ground side.. thanks.. and I'll havea look at the E6K manual as well

RE ICV = 13BRE idle bypass valve.. too many companies have too many different names for it...

Thats why we stick to IAC or BAC.
