I recently tried to adjust my 2D air temp map and noticed I am not able to make any adjustment to the injection amount, however, I can select left or right through the bars. Didi I some how lock the map?

 

Really need some help guys. Can haltech 2d maks be locked? I am no longer able to adjust my air temp values. What could be wrong?

 

what correction maps have you got ticked for enable in the main setup page ???

 

Maps checked are:
inj coolant
inj air
post start enrich below OT
Primer
Battery
Ig coolant
Ig air

Strange that it worked perfectly, but I am not sure if I made some change in the map that prevents me changing the values.

 

is ig air 2d or 3d mode? .. have you tried selecting 2nd inj air temp enable ?

 

Its 2d mode........should I try 2nd inj air enable. I may have enabled it in the past, but it not been enabled for a while now.

 

mine seems to work either way.. wondering if you are trying to access with an earlier firmware version than what is in the ecu

 

Bumpstart, thank you for chiming in. Its a truly strange occurance. I have not seen anything in the E8 manual to lock this map to editing. However, i am able to adjust the coolant 2D map without problems.

I am using the 1.89 firmware for a long time now, and have made adjustments using it.

Any other Ideas?

 

Firmware bug? 1.89 was a bag of bugs. I had all kinds of issues with it.

 

Should re-installing software fix the prob?

 

maybe .. but maybe find a 1.71 or 1.62 version of software and have a go accessing with that

i find the big bug with these is in using the wrong base firmware map at the beginning,, and they also dont transfer custom scale maps too well

I removed and re-installed the 1.89 software (not firmware) and regained full function of the 2D maps.

 

Gotta love the red boxes.
