Arrow E8 To PC No Communication

I'm trying get my car setup, but the haltech e8 wont communicate to the laptop. I installed the Halwin v1.89 and the haltech ecu manager, both does recognize the ecu. anyone have ran into this issue before?

If using a USB to serial adapter, you will have to set the com port #. If this is not set to the right port the laptop will not see the ecu

you need to save that ..

go through firmware updates on the ECU for 1.71
.. then to 1.89 AND build 35 as above
.. remember to power down the ecu to save the changes at each step

load the 13b default 1.89 file in the STD map folder ..

power down the ecu.. the STD 13b 1.89 is now saved on the ecu

reboot

import all fuel and ig maps from the 1.62 file you had that worked before

go back through ig setup and be sure you have the same coil setup configs as before

double check timing ( to be sure to be sure )

this way all the nice features like closed loop boost etc will be avail.. and they will be working
