E8 13b-re won't idle without BAC

Here is the issue, I can get the car to idle pretty good down to around 1k, and slightly wandering down to 800, but not without the BAC turned on. I know the manual and Hitman and every post on the BAC I have seen by someone in the know says not to screw with it untill the car is well tuned, but even with the idle screw turned all the way out it won't hold an idle without either the BAC or my foot on the gas.

So what is the recomended coarse of action for this?

Is there another throttle stop screw somewhere on the TB that I need to get within range before messing with the idle screw on top of the TB to get the idle in range?

The only adjustment I have been making is to the screw directly on top of the TB.

Thanks everyone.

adjust the primary throttle plates stop screw

make sure the trigger isn't causing the issue, with properly adjusted gain/filters

I've been trying to idle the motor without the BAC valve hooked up to the E11 and it wouldn't idle.

It would idle only if I have the throttle partially open.

To crank and turn the motor over, I'd have to open the throttle about 75%.

I am going to hook up the BAC tomorrow and see it that will make the motor idle. By the way my motor is 20b.

adjust the throttle stop screw's so it will idle when warm, the air screw is like a fine trim adjustment, having to hold the throttle open to start cold is normal.

You are absolutely right. What is a set screw? How and where is it used? Does it alter the fuel map when adjusted?
Instead of taking a picture of the setscrew, could you post a video on youtube?

BTW the map you sent me is totally crap.

I'm probably no help, but on my S4 TII the set screw is on the firewall side of the throttle body, theres an 8mil nut and a slot screw, loosen the 8 mil nut, screw the set screw to desired idle and tighten then 8mil nut.

Wow it's not his fault if you can't comprehend the info he is giving you. Also you should be gratefull for the help that your getting. No offense, anyone doing a 20b swap should have basic mechanic skills and know how to adjust basic idle screws.

Umm holding the throttle to start cold IS NOT NORMAL PEOPLE. for gods sake. Even a shitty microtech computer can start a engine cold and idle perfectly. You should have no worries with your haltech.
