E6K/e6x connector shield

Hello,

I recently purchased an E6K used, but the harness is missing the connector shield clip piece... I'm sorry i don't know the technical name of it.

Its the yellow piece to the far right in this diagram..

http://www.haltech.com/wp-content/up...-CONNECTOR.pdf

It is the piece that clips over all the pins once the harness plug end is all together.. i think the main purpose is to help align the pins... If anyone has one or knows where i can get one that would be great! I looked a lot so far... nothing...

Thanks in advance!

It's an AMP connector. The parts are available. No idea on the part number. Did through te.com (Tyco is AMPs parent company) and you'll be able to find a part number. They'll also have a link for stocking distributors.

Awesome thanks!! Hey just curious I'm starting to moake my harness into a 1st gen 13bT harness.. From the diagram for E6X to FC (closest i can find to what i have), and the color diagram for E6x and E6k.. wondering if Ign Out/ pin 36 is also what you referred to as IGN 1 on the other thread?

IGN 1 to L1 and L2 pin A
IGN 2 to T1 pin A
IGN 3 to T2 pin A

Does IGN 1 = IGN OUT pin 36?

Thanks in advance!

(mini-thread jack, but on a related topic)

my E6K wiring diagram doesnt show "IGN1, IGN2 or IGN3", but rather "DIG OUT 2, DIG OUT 1, and IGN OUT" pin 34, 35 and 36 repectively. I presume these are the 3 IGN outs? if so, which is which?

I think its...

IGN OUT = IGN1
DIG OUT 1 = IGN2
DIG OUT 2 = IGN3

???????

Actually E6K diagram shows

Pin

Im assuming this is the translation...

34 Digital 2 = IGN 3
35 Digital 1 = IGN 2
36 Ign.Out = IGN 1

Is this correct?

My bad. It's a Delphi part. I assumed (should know better) it was AMP because the terminals from the AMP connector used on the Sport ECUs fit the E6 connectors. At any rate, here you go.
