e11 & 20b, help

I am beginning to install it in my fd. Question is, where do I mount all the relays and fuse boxes? Could I separate them from the harness and move them out to the engine bay while keeping the ecu connectors inside the car?

The best place is in cabin. You can make "military" multipin connectors for quick dismount harness from ecu.

Why would you want them out in the engine bay?
Electronics HATE heat and dirt.
Putting them in the engine bay just complicated everything.

ok, I am going to mount the ecu, relays and fuse blocks all together on a board and put it either under the passenger seat or the passenger footwell.

option b is to get rid of em altogether.

the factory ecu already has those same relays, the haltech is sorta wired for a car without those.

so we like to wire the car up with the mazda relays, think of it like we're changing the ecu plugs on the factory harness....

That's what I did as well, I took all the relays off the Haltech harness and used my own.

I might have a problem. There's something rattling inside the ecu. I didn't drop it or anything. Is that normal?
I called Gothamracing (where I bought it) twice to inform them. They said they'd call Haltech Aus and get back to me. No call yet from Gothamracing.

Open the unit up and see what's loose?
It's just a bunch of screws on one end that will let you remove the side plate...

I end up putting them all along the firewall on an FC.
Backside of the firewall in the interior that is...

I'd like to, but I don't to give Haltech a reason to reject liability.
I had a Wolf V500 for my project but it burned up. I sent it back to Wolf and they denied to fix it under warranty. To make a long story short, they said it was my fault.
I know that's not true.

So, I am being very careful with the E11.

The aluminum case is made up of a few panels screwed together... the top panel that says Haltech E11v2 slips into the case and "floats" with nothing holding it in place other then the end caps... more then likely it is that panel that is clunking
