E fan changes AFRs when on.

FC

IM playing with my afrs on idle and vacuum and I can clearly see the fan is effecting the afrs while it turns on and off. E6X controls the efan. What could this be, or is it normal?

Also. IS the Barometric pressure setting supposed to be locked?

When the fan kicks on the engine moves to a higher load and probably lower rpm site. With the fixed resolution of the E6X, you may not be able to actually see or do anything about it with the software. You will see it in the data stream. Big advantage here for the Platinum ECUs with their programmable load and rpm sites. Lets you stack more cells around these problem areas and not rely on interpolation.

might need a small touch in the voltage correction maps .. log what the volts are when the fan is on and touch up that bin

How many amps is your fan pulling?

20 Amp Automotive Fuse Circuit Tester

HF also has a 30 amp one. I have a few of these and they work great.

idle is the most susceptible to loads, so it will drop the load and lower the idle the most. check the tables that it corresponds to when the fan kicks on and you shouldn't see a huge difference in AFRs. i see about a 100RPM drop and about a .2-.5AFR difference normally, but it really depends on how large the fan is and how many amps it's sucking up.
