20B: Haltech PS2000 & OMP plus Idle Speed Control

So the question is, can it be done? Can the Haltech PS2000 be wired to control both the 20B OMP and a Idle Speed Control Motor?

It appears the wiring needed for the above is the same but has anyone wired up both and if so, how? Any wiring diagrams for the above?

Yes it can be done. The wiring info is here waiting for a search. Emailing the specifics is easier for me than trying to locate a post. Hit me up at ludwigmotorsports@insightbb.com if you can't find it. You switching from MT?

Well, I should have posted we were going to use the 4-wire Haltech idle speed control module so it would be a no go to run both at the same time.

Based on Ludwig's info, will look at the stock BAC instead.

I wasn't a fan of the stock BAC on my e6x but with the ps2k it's a whole different ball game. It does a good job. IMO no need for a stepping motor.

Am working directly with Haltech USA and they want me to use a 2-wire idle speed controller so I can wire up both the OMP and the idle control. This is the route we are going.

Haltech says the 2-wire units that work great (and are external/universal) are the late 90's VW, Audi, or Porsche ones. About $60 new.

David I made provisions with my custom intake to use the two wire Fd BAC. It works but I may try to use one of those others you just brought up (since that's Haltech's recommendation). I've never been able to get the Fd unit dialed in perfect.

The VW one I ordered is due in the next day or so and I will report how it works out. This is the 3rd one I've ordered and the prior two didn't work for whatever reason. This is the first one that was specified by Haltech though so hopefully it will work.

Would love to solve the AC "on" idle issue.

The part is a "Bosch Idle Speed Stabilizer pn 0.280.140.505 VW & Audi"

Have you tried the Mazda valve? I've never had one not work on rotary and piston apps. Setup can be complex for the unfamiliar. Some settings will allow the valve to work most times but stall and refuse to cooperate others.

No. Haltech USA is most familiar with success on the VW, Audi, and Porsche ones with 3 rotors so we are going to try that first.

Can you post up or link any specifics on wiring it up that Haltech gave you? It seems to be a 3 wire valve?
