Can the E6k be causing my EGI fuse to blown?

I hate to cross post but i think you guys may have an idea with what is happening with my car.

Do you think the haltech is causing this? It seems like a component rather than wiring.

Is the Haltech wired to the EGI circut? Usually its wired independantly of the circut..

Is this a Haltech question? are you using your K as a piggyback? where are you getting power for it?

I'm wondering if the Haltech *could* be causing my fuses to blow?

The haltech is using the K2RD adapter harness so I can use the stock engine harness. I'm assuming power is comming through there? (I didn't install the haltech, i bought the car with it installed, Stupid, I know.)

The Ignition and Injectors are all on the EGI fuse as well as a ton of selonoids that are no longer there.

What do you think about going with a real haltech harness? Its kind of a last resort for me, but I've been wanting to do it, just to get rid of the stock harness.

Out of all the factory engine harnesses ive taken out and seen from 2nd gen RX-7s, nearly all of them either have brittle, burnt or opened wires, melted or damaged connectors, so it is really somewhat an undesireable thing to do, leaving that in there. The Haltech harness is brand new, properly done and allows for good noise filtering through the shielding.

My 2 cents.

I took the factory engine harness out of the car the other day, and took a look at it. The people that did the single turbo/haltech setup clipped all those solenoids that control the TT system and just wrapped them in 1 layer of electrical tape (all right next to each other at the same length). It kind of looked like one was poking through as well, but it could have been from me when I pulled the harness.

I'm pretty sure my fuse blowing problem is within this harness. I went ahead and ordered a flying lead harness, a few of the connectors, and some new temp sensors. I probably could have gotten the stock harness to work, but it’s not worth it. The wires were getting brittle and some were cracking.

I feel pretty confident about installing the flying lead, I’ve been soldiering and wiring long before I worked on anything automotive. I'll have help from another single turbo FD guy as well (radkins). Any little tips or advice? I'll probably dive into it next week after the stuff arrives.
