I peg the max, especially in the high vacuum ranges - 50-degrees.
It doesn't hurt anything, and it's supposed to be good for emissions.

I have experimented with higher timing for the highway cruise areas.

Right now I run somewhere in the 36 degree range. I've tried even higher, up to 45 degrees, but felt no difference in terms of driveability or smoothness. All that happened was that my coolant temps went up a bit.

Maybe on steady-state cruising, but the engine is supposed to respond faster with the more aggressive ignition timing uner high vacuum when throttling...

Coolant temps went up?
Now that's kinda odd...

So how about 2500 and under timing? I have mine at 6btdc with a 10 deg split at idle which it seems to like the best but don't know how fast I can ramp that up..

You can ramp it up pretty quick.

My cruise maps starts at 2500 rpm, so keeping the same shape as that curve, I basically split the the difference between my idle timing and cruise timing into equal intervals.

My car seems a little more responsive with 15 degree split at idle, than with 10.
