I was told it would have the same I/O as the 2500 but with only 4 injection and 4 ignition drivers. Supposed to available sometime in February. Price should be around $300 less than the 2500. None of that was set in stone at PRI. It would be the ECU of choice for a 2-rotor application.
As far as firmware. Australia has rotaries running. Split timing is done. They're still working on injector staging. Injector staging is important for their piston market too. So it's something that is on the front burner and is getting a lot of attention. There will be a 2.04 firmware release shortly. The next one, 2.05, is scheduled to have rotary support.
I've asked again about missing tooth trigger support and was told, "at the moment any trigger system can be used for a rotary."
