where im at right now there is still a good chance that you can still go back to stock. there will be some frame modification, but its minimal, and is just some trimming. it can be done with a $30 body saw from harbor freight. it also gives you an excuse to increase your tool collection.
as far as the RR lighting is concerned they are still fog lights and are illegal for road use as headlights, and if some one was to add an hid kit to the RR (fog) lighting it would be another illegal aspect of lighting (even though i think it would still be one offense, illegal lighting). So my point is this, installing an hid kit in to my sleek kit would be no more difficult than installing one into a RR kit, however still technically illegal.
i will offer an hid option that is a true HID with a D2S bulb and hid optics. it will be something like $800 extra because its that much more for me to buy. i will have the final pricing later.
let me be clear this is not a sale thread and i will register as a vendor before trying to sell the kit.
P.S. RX72NR, i hope to chage your opinion on the best looking kit available.

i am currently mocking up the lights and need some help. can some one tell me what these bolts are or rather what they go to?
the holes that the green circle bolts go through are threaded and the red circled bolts are not.
also if you were to remove 1 red and 1 green on the left side of the pic would that mess anything up?

Well, I went out and looked at mine today and it looks like the red ones hold the housing to the bracket. The yellow ones don't actually seem to do anything for the headlight housing. It looks more like the yellow ones hold on a bracket underneath the housing to the frame. If I get some more time I will try and take a picture later to help explain a little more. Hope this helps somewhat though.
From what I remember two of those bolts have an off-center cam in them, allowing you to adjust the housing placement so that the cover lines up with the body lines.

i got the lights mounted to the mounting bracket. the light hits the ground about 3.5-4 feet in front of the bumper, 3.5-4 feet is well in front of where you vision can see the ground over the hood. my head hits the ceiling and even with my eye level being about as high as it can be, i see no dark area in front of the car.
the low beam has a super clean cut-off, and destroys the other sleek kits out there.

i will post pics once i get the lens and shroud finished, theres not a whole lot to see now.
OH, and just a heads up for everyone, i decided to go with the Ferrari style light. After considering everything i think the Ferrari 360 is going to be the better choice.
Reason
1. I feel they have a high end look and i dont want to cheapen our cars.
2. It also works better to keep the light modules hidden.
but #1 is by far the most important and get combined with #2 covering the light modules in the c6 design will look funny.
