Scrub (Dan) is making them however last I heard he won't have them completed for another week. I've been pushing to have them completed as soon as possible however I have no physical control over completing them. For an accurate update on when your individual harness will be complete please shoot him a PM.

For the next round of harnesses I'm trying to have the components sent to be finished in-house here in California as we have more man power and time to turn them around quicker. We never thought the coil kits would be nearly as popular as they have been, so we're working to decrease turn-around time and get them stocked.

The cruise control has to go, if you have it.

Hey everyone, we wanted to share our Universal Coil Mount for those of you who arent able to utilize our cruise-location mounts (RHD/20B/etc).

These mounts also facilitate custom installations in the FD or mounting these coils on other chassis. Our universal coil mounts in 6061 Aluminum are in production now. We're just waiting at this point for CNC production run to finish.

Each mount holds two coils. They are modular and can connected back-to-back, side-to-side, both (in one large block), or mounted individually. Threaded provisions on the sides and back of the coil mount brackets allow for attachment to a secondary bracket for a non-flat location, or to be attached directly to a flat section of your chassis. We are also finishing up an FD specific sheet metal mount that sits low-down on the frame rail for 13b-20b applications.

Got a price in mind for these yet?

I'd be after two brackets as I need to mount 4 coils.

Also, what is the mount made of?

Cheers

Once it's ready for release we should have it available with a mounting bracket (for 4 or 6 coils), plug wire leads, and an optional harness. The issue for us has been turn around time on the harnesses... we just can't make them fast enough. We're working on a few ways to speed this process up.

PS these are just printed prototypes in plastic, the final version will be 6061 Aluminum - hard anodized black, with aluminum spacers (also in hard black), with stainless steel mounting hardware.

Dan should be shipping all remaining harnesses this week. If you don't already have a tracking number you should soon. Thanks for bearing with us it's been tough to get caught up on all of the orders but we're nearly there.

Received the harness last Friday - it appears to be well made.

Now to assemble it all and test it out.

Any suggestions on where the battery+ terminal can be connected?
There is a ring terminal on it, suggesting there may be some obvious location for it.
All the wires are well marked, so there doesn't seem to be much need for installation instructions, but (without looking - car not in the garage at the moment) I can't think of an obvious location for the + lead.

Put me down for a set of brackets for a 13b. Only need the bracket as I've already got the coils & loom made up .

Cheers.

We're finishing up the installation instructions and will post them as soon as they are done (see video for de/pinning the OEM igniter connector) but the positive lead goes to the bolt on the front of the battery terminal block. I'll have Dan get some pictures up in the mean time along with the grounding locations.

Thanks, found that bolt last night after getting the car back in the garage.

Here's a link to the igniter depinning video:

We just need to nail down the design and make sure it clears everything. I should have more info in the next few weeks Sorry for the delay, things have been a little crazy around here.

Jason,
Right now there's about a weeks lead time. I have the coils, brackets and plug wires in stock, but I JUST ran out of loom for the adapter harnesses. I'll have more loom hopefully by late this week. We're trying to build enough adapter harnesses to keep them in stock, but they're very labor intensive and we've been getting orders regularly.

I'm also located in Delaware, so shipping should be cheap and quick. I saw pictures of your car on track. Have you been to NJMP?

Thanks,
-Dan

Installed the whole kit this last weekend.
All in all it isn't too difficult, though my car already had the coils in that location, so a bit less work to do for me.
Fired up the first time.

Kudos for the excellent video on depinning the igniter connector.

Thanks for the compliments, glad to hear everything went smoothly! We've since finished the instruction manual which probably would have made your life a little easier. Sorry the instructions weren't complete in time for you, but if you'd like a copy via email
