3rd gen? They love to have the positive cable terminal fall apart at the battery.

battery cables have a bad connection, usually at the battery, but these cars are old

If u look down the fire wall on the driver's side, behind and below the oil filter, u should be
able to see a small cylinder (can be hard to see, it blends in rather well)!!!That's ur starter solenoid, which sits directly above the starter!!!

if you have full voltage and you got to start the car and it makes a noise and then its totally dead that means there is a loose/corroded connection. the culprit is usually the battery terminals. if they aren't good and tight or they have corrosion and aren't super tight (even worse) the connection will be good until you load it and then by the powers of stupid things that happen to cars the connection is lost.

Yes! You can see the it from under the hood!!!

I was having a similar problem, I'd turn the key but get nothing but a click. So last night I put the car on stands, removed the starter and cleaned all of the connections. Ground was bad along with the positive terminal!!! But all is well now
